Welcome to the second episode of the collaboration podcast between Ship-Talking and Hero Collector! For this one, Brandon is joined again by Hero Collector's Ben Robinson and first-time pod guest Fabio Passaro to chat about the U.S.S. Zheng He -- the ship Riker was temporarily in command of during the season 1 finale of Star Trek: Picard. The discussion includes behind-the-scenes fun on the ship and what went into making the model. Ship models discussed in this Pod series can be purchased here. Ship-Talking Pod is also on Patreon. In return for your support, which makes everything we do possible, we provide special benefits including expanded episodes of our main Pod, the ability to chat in Discord with some of the guests that join us, special patron-only giveaways, and much more. Head to patreon.com/shiptalkingpod for details. Hailing frequencies are always open at www.shiptalkingpod.com or email [email protected].
Welcome to the latest episode of our pod-within-a-pod series: 'Shuttle Scuttle'! In this episode, Noah Averbach-Katz (the actor who played Ryn on Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery) returns to chat with James and Alex about which ship, station or shuttle shown in any Trek series they would each choose to spend a single day on. All patrons of Ship-Talking's Patreon gain access to new episodes of 'Shuttle Scuttle' one week before their wide release here! Trek Visual Effects Artist Matt Boardman stops by this week's episode to talk sh*p with Robbie and Alex. Their discussion includes ship VFX and art; ship design aesthetics; animation and rendering of CGI models; using VFX to tell stories; and more. An expanded chat with Matt is exclusively available to our patrons at or above the Constitution-class tier on Patreon. Also, answers to this week's Community Q are discussed, a new question is announced, and this week's All Hands on Deck Drill sees the community visiting the shipyards to re-commission pre-Excelsior-class-era ships. Lastly, this episode's post-credits easter egg is not one to be missed... Hailing frequencies are always open at www.shiptalkingpod.com or email [email protected].

Welcome to the latest episode of our pod-within-a-pod series: 'Shuttle Scuttle'! In this episode, Brandon put together dating profile headlines for five different ships from Trek. During a short shuttle journey, he reads them to George and Robbie to see if they can guess which ship would have created each ad. Play along and see if you can figure them out before the answers are shared! Recorded before our hiatus, Brandon and Alex welcomed Sean Tourangeau (creator of the USS Titan), Mark Rademaker (creator of the Vesta-class), and Adam Ihle (creator of the USS Enterprise-F) to the Pod for a roundtable discussion on their ships and journeys. This was also the first time all three of them were able to get together in the same room to chat. An expanded discussion between Sean, Mark, and Adam is exclusively available to our patrons at or above the Constitution-class tier on Patreon. Your answers to the latest Community Q were also discussed before a new question was shared, and the All Hands on Deck Drill saw the community receive an Intelligence Dossier that asked them to create plans for the re-establishment of Project Pathfinder. Hello Ship-Talking Friends! As you probably heard on our most recent main Pod episode, we were going on a short break to Risa... well, that ended up becoming quite an extended hiatus as the entire team took a step back to focus on IRL. We're excited to say we're about ready to return to your ears, and you'll soon start hearing from us weekly again - but, more likely once a week rather than the 2-3 times a week we were working towards. As the planet starts to emerge from the Year of Hell, Part II and more of it starts opening up, we're going to be ensuring there is a work-life-pod balance for the entire team. Tune in to this week's short episode to listen to James, George, and Brandon chat about what this strange new world looks like in the Ship-Talking Universe. Don't forget... hailing frequencies are always open at www.shiptalkingpod.com or email [email protected]. LLAP!
