In a quiet, gated community in Georgia, Russell and Shirley Dermond seemed to embody the perfect picture of retirement—an 88-year-old World War II veteran and his 87-year-old wife, spending their golden years on the serene shores of Lake Oconee. But in May of 2014, that tranquility was shattered. Russell was found brutally murdered in his garage, decapitated. His head was missing from the scene, and Shirley? She had vanished without a trace.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI's Atlanta Field Office at (770) 216-3000 or the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at (706) 485-8557. Callers can remain anonymous, and a reward of $25,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
