On many occasions, Rabeinu spoke about future events, and those things came true of course. Rebbe Nathan though emphasizes the point that Rabeinu’s way wasn’t to reveal these things or other miracles he performed, for he wasn’t given permission by G-d to publicize this.

Rabeinu says that even he would oppose a person that did those things they claim… the only issue is that rabeinu never did those things that they say he did, which makes the opposition totally false and unjust to begin with.
