The North West department of Economic Development Environment Conservation and Tourism says it is equally shocked about the Kudakwashe Mpofu revelations because it thought its entity will follow normal and relevant processes when they recruit for vacancies. The comment comes after Mpofu, a Zimbabwean national resigned from his position on Sunday after it was revealed that he has been in South Africa illegally. Mpofu was working as Chief Financial Officer of the North West Development Corporation.
