The Chargers have blown out opponents in back-to-back games, but last week's win against the New York Jets looked most impressive, even if Justin Herbert did not have an overly impressive game. The Chargers are near the league's top in sacks with the sack package of Joey Bosa, Khalil Mack, and Tuli Tuipulotu.
After building a two-game win momentum against the Bears and Jets, the Chargers welcome the Detriot Lions into Sofi Stadium. The Lions are much better than they have been historically, with a dynamic set of weapons for Jared Goff to throw to. They can light up the scoreboard, or turn to a physical, clock-managing, ground-and-pound attack. Expect this game to be a track meet, with the Lion's defense still developing young stars.

We dive in deep here on the tenure of Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco as head coach and general manager of the Los Angeles Chargers. This is a real, long conversation that needs to be had on the future of the Chargers organization. We have a much shorter recap on the Chiefs and Bears games to account for the story of Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco.

The Los Angeles Chargers dropped a close one last Monday after falling 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys in their first prime time matchup of the season. Justin Herbert was obviously feeling the effects of a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand which he suffered two weeks ago against the Las Vegas Raiders. Herbert turned in one of the most underwhelming performances of his young career, missing some throws on routine plays that would of had a significant impact on the result of this game. The Chargers defense played well but so did the Dallas unit which racked up 26 pressures and made things very difficult for the Bolts in developing an offensive rhythm.
Things will not get easier this week as the squad heads to Kansas City to face the 5-1, AFC West leading Chiefs. If the Chargers want to regain some momentum and salvage their season, they have a great opportunity to do exactly that this Sunday.

The Los Angeles Chargers got career games from Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen against the Minnesota Vikings. Justin Herbert threw for over 400 yards for the first time in his short NFL career, while Keenan Allen passed Charlie Joiner on the Chargers all-time receiving list. He also caught 18 receptions, tied 3rd most in NFL history. This was a must-win game for the Chargers who overcame adversity to not go 0-3 to start the 2023 NFL season.
Next, the Chargers host the Las Vegas Raiders at SoFi Stadium to build some momentum before they head into their early bye.
