Julius "The Chef" Jackson: Olympic boxer, professional chef, author, but most importantly, community leader. Growing up, Julius followed in his father's footsteps to become a an Olympic boxer but always knew there was something else calling him. After overcoming self doubt, he earned the title of "Olympian" and had the honor of representing the U.S. Virgin Islands in the 2008 Summer Olympics. After completing culinary school and getting some big breaks with guest appearances on shows such as the Food Network's "The Kitchen", Julius knew his true passion was serving others by providing excellent customer experiences and creating out of this world dishes.
Julius is currently the Head Chef and Manager at My Brother's Workshop Bakery & Cafe, a nonprofit training program for at-risk youth. Julius volunteers with the nonprofit Young Life and attends many speaking engagements to encourage young Virgin Islanders to battle through tough times to reach their full potential!
Upcoming projects include "The Chef's Tour" which is a multi-city culinary experience featuring Julius "The Chef" Jackson and his recently released cookbook, My Modern Caribbean Kitchen. In 2017 Julius' native Virgin Islands were ravaged by two catastrophic hurricanes. In the aftermath, he worked diligently to provide thousands of meals to the community. Despite a lack of electricity and difficult circumstances, Julius completed My Modern Caribbean Kitchen featuring 70 delicious recipes sure to appeal to every pallet. He is now excited to bring his dishes to a city near you!
