Kadencia is certified by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture as an authentic performer of Puerto Rican Folk music, and is also part of the Virginia Commission for the Arts touring directory, and a resident artist at the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education, in Chesterfield, Virginia.

Independent Reggae Artist Mighty Joshua engages audiences by opening minds and activating bodies through song. Conscious lyrics flow freely to create distinctive refrains that pulse with pride against rhythms rooted in percussion. His soulful exploration in the evolution of sound creates an expression of reggae for the modern day. Virginia Reggae Ambassador Mighty Joshua advocates for reggae music by sharing his love of the genre and culture with meaningful performances for the masses. Mighty Joshua’s self-titled debut solo album is a life inspired compilation that encourages reflection and empowerment for oneself, community, and beyond. The official “Mighty Joshua” video has aired on Virginia Currents, and his music video for the single “Clean Hands” premiered on Reggaeville. Mighty Joshua plays in a multitude of arrangements including high energy live performances with support of his back-up band and at times an acoustic configuration.

From mountain top festivals, to intimate club gigs, he invites listeners of all ages to experience the spirit of reggae. His musical roots in African percussion led to experimenting with sound and rhythm. Soon after exposure to Djembe and Djun Djun drums they became a part of his playing repertoire which also includes the Didgeridoo. Mighty Joshua played percussion and supplied backing vocals for Corey Harris albums Father Sun, Mother Earth and Fulton Hill Blues and has opened for several internationally acclaimed reggae acts including Steel Pulse, Culture w/ Kenyatta Hill, the Meditations, the Itals, and Ziggy Marley. Mighty Joshua is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. The not-for-profit performance-rights organization is a diverse family of music creators representing many voices, but are united in their mission to make the world a better place with music. When he’s not living the life of a professional musician, Joshua enjoys integrating music for social awareness and celebrating the impact individuals can make.

Janet is a native of Richmond, Virginia and has been dividing her live performances between the U.S. and Europe since 2004. She is a multi-published writer with over 40 original songs copy-written and administered through BMI and GEMA in the USA and Europe. Janet has shared the stage with a wide array of musicians throughout her expansive career, including John Prine, Warren Zevon, Leon Russell, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Aaron Neville.

Well known for her various styles, Janet has recorded and released 9 CD's to critical acclaim, including her most recent "Eve Sessions" - her first solo self-produced and self-recorded CD. “Eve Sessions” is receiving airplay in 13 countries. Currently she is working on a new project planned for 2021.

Janet has earned high praise from the musical press and her hypnotic acoustic and lead guitar, slide guitar and vocals are not to be missed.

A veteran of jazz legend Joe Henderson’s Quintet and Sextet, William Russo’s Chicago Jazz Ensemble, the acclaimed chamber ensemble Rhythm & Brass, and the Brass Band of Battle Creek, known as the world’s “Rolls Royce of Brass Bands” (Brass Band World), he stays busy as a headline artist at international jazz and brass festivals. His hundreds of solo engagements in 46 countries include appearances with the U.S. Air Force's Airmen of Note Jazz Ensemble, Tokyo's Z Express Big Band, the Croatian Radio-Television Jazz Orchestra, the Phoenix Symphony and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestras, the U.S. Army Field Band and Tokyo Symphonic Winds, England's Fodens Brass Band, Spanish Brass, and Boston Brass.

@rextrumpet has collaborated with countless legendary artists and ensembles, including, Wayne Bergeron, Brian Blade, Benny Carter, Boston Brass, Ray Charles, Mike Clarke, Dave Douglas, Kurt Elling, Carl Fontana, Aretha Franklin, Thomas Gansch, Wycliffe Gordon, Stefon Harris, Conrad Herwig, Dave Holland, Sean Jones, Dave Liebman, Eric Miyashiro. The Sugar Hollows is some kind of rock band from Richmond, Virginia. Their debut album was released in 2023 and has solidified their place in the Virginia music scene and beyond after a successful maiden east coast tour, which covered every state from Georgia to Delaware. The album has been hailed as a monumental and impressive debut release and was featured by regional and national music media outlets including Americana Highways, Music Mecca, Daily Music Spin, The Auricular, RVA Mag, Music Existence, and more.

By 2021, the acoustic duo was playing small gigs around Virginia and North Carolina and had written their first single 'Follow the River.' Shortly after the release, which saw some local success, the group refined their sound as a 5-piece rock outfit by adding Sean O'Reilly on bass, Noah Yates on drums, and Hayden Chance on lap steel, each new member bringing their own influence and flair to the group. With eclectic musical tastes ranging from folk and country music to psychedelic and classic rock as well as modern indie and alternative rock, the group writes songs about life, love, and all of the things that make you feel kinda funny.

Their most recent release Don’t Stab Your Hand is a unique take on 00’s bloghouse with a message that cuts to the core of contemporary life.

Flight Club is a 4-piece rock n roll band that isn't afraid to get loud. Their debut LP, “Until The Sun Drowns” is an emotional piece highlighting the highs and lows of Life and Death. Pulling influence from their southern roots, the group takes the gritty blues and classic rock tones they were raised on and adds a dose of punk rock intensity. Blernding them together to find a soulful sound, full of heart, delivered raw, passionate, and true.

Los Alacranes de R.V.A. features Paulo's original songs in English and Spanish along with covers by artists like The Mavericks, Los Lobos, Chingon, Cruzados, Tito and Tarantula, Alejandro Escovedo and more!! REIN is a 23 year old guitar-centric pop artist and songwriter based out of Richmond VA, and your local neighborhood guitar hero!

Douglas Powell, artistically known as Roscoe Burnems, is a Richmond, Virginia native. He is a spoken-word artist, educator, comedic entertainer, former TEDx speaker, multi-poetry slam champion, and Richmond’s first poet laureate. Roscoe has dedicated his career to using spoken-word as a therapeutic process and showing others how to do the same. His one-hour poetry and comedy special Traumedy is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and other platforms.
