“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Colossians 3:2

In this sermon, Retief shares the vision for 2026 and a powerful, heavenly vantage point with us.

Life can easily pull our focus downward—toward worries, distractions, and temporary things. But God calls us to look up! In this powerful message, we are reminded that our identity and hope are anchored in Christ, not in the shifting sands of this world.

When we fix our hearts and minds on Him, everything else comes into perspective.

As we step into 2026, we’re reminded that intimacy with God is our life source. It’s not about doing more, but about knowing Him deeply and sharing life with Him.

Jesus said:

“Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” John 17:3

Like Mary, choose the “one thing that is needed” – sitting at His feet, hearing His Word, and living from a place of closeness rather than busyness.

Invite Him into every part of your life

Give Him the first & best of your day

Spend time in His Word and prayer

Let 2026 be the year we live from intimacy, not distraction.

Our Redeemer Lives!

This week, Retief Uys reminded us that Jesus not only saves—He redeems!

He restores what’s broken, brings freedom from bondage, and gives beauty for ashes.

“In Him we have redemption through His blood.” (Ephesians 1:7)

As a congregation, we are called to be a Bethesda, a "House of Flowing Waters" in our area. Do you still believe? Are you willing to let go and let Him restore so we can be a wellspring of life and healing to others?

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” – Psalm 84:10

This week we are reminded that greatness in the Kingdom is not about position, but about service. A doorkeeper opens the way for others, guards the holy place, and ushers in the presence of God.

Wherever we choose to obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we open the door to the gospel and the Kingdom of God, we are doorkeepers that usher in God's will and ways.

Let us rise as faithful doorkeepers—humble, watchful, and ready to open the door for the King and His Kingdom.

This Sunday, Sikho Mbedzi reminded us of a powerful truth: our identity is not defined by the world, but by Christ.

We are no longer slaves to sin or fear. Through Jesus, we have been adopted as sons and daughters of God. But it doesn’t stop there—God calls us to grow and mature into heirs, co-rulers with Christ, carrying His authority to bring light and transformation into the world around us.

To be an heir means more than belonging—it means stepping into responsibility, reigning with Him, and living out the fullness of His promises. As Sikho shared, we must grow up into this truth, shedding the old identity and embracing the new one given to us in Christ.

“So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.” (Galatians 4:7)

Let’s rise into our calling, walk boldly in our inheritance, and impact our communities with the love and power of Jesus.

As children of God, we have to know who were are and that we have the free gift of righteousness IN JESUS if we are to walk in the authority God has for us!

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Through Christ, we have received the free gift of righteousness. We are called to put on the new man (Ephesians 4:24), and from our seat in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), we share in His authority.

Prayer is not passive — it is ruling with Christ in the spirit, shifting atmospheres, and declaring His kingdom in our bodies, our families, our workplaces and our communities!
