Shook-Ow…At The Buzzer

Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! Both the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers took an opening-night loss, but after watching Houston’s length in their starting lineup, I might have to rethink if they’re real NBA contenders. As for the Lakers, or should I say “The Lukas,” because Luka Dončić (IG:@lukadoncic) was the only one who looked ready to play. Even when LeBron James (X@KingJames) returns, I’ve still got concerns — Rob Pelinka might need to make some serious moves. Plus, Michael Jordan’s NBC debut didn’t go as many may have expected…he wasn’t in the studio nowhere near it. During this somewhat “interview” did MJ take a shot at today’s NBA? And I’ve got to talk about Cooper Flagg’s NBA debut and Victor Wembanyama’s season debut that left people asking “what did they just witness”— Wemby might have let everyone know he’s really the future of the NBA. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Please make sure to hit that follow button on Spotify, comment and share the show if you like what you heard! Thanks in advance...peace.

Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! The Houston Rockets locked in Kevin Durant (X:@KDTrey5) with a major contract extension—yes, already. While the NBA world was buzzing in surprise, I’m not shocked. I’ll pull in a clip from “Locked On Rockets” that breaks down the deal and why it really makes sense. Then we shift to the Philadelphia 76ers: Joel Embiid (IG:@joelembiid) looked sharp in his preseason debut with 14 pts, 7 reb, 8 ast in 19 minutes. I’ll share a clip from “Locked On NBA” that digs into how the Sixers looked—and especially how Embiid looked—and then I give MY take: Can Philadelphia win the East this year? Last, the NBA is back on NBC and I’ll give yall my winners for Opening Night…Rockets vs Thunder and Warriors vs Lakers. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! Malcolm Brogdon is officially retiring from the NBA—just after signing with the New York Knicks back on September 12th. Was this really a shocking move? I’ll play the clip from Shams Charania (X:@ShamsCharania) reporting the news, plus give my full reaction. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings are making noise by signing former MVP Russell Westbrook (IG:@russwest44). A lot of enthusiasts are asking why the Kings made this signing—I’ve got a clip from Locked On Kings discussing this and my honest take. And if you were online Tuesday, you probably saw the viral moment from the Boston Celtics. Their annual media basketball game turned into “Coaches vs Media,” after Head Coach Joe Mazzulla made the surprising change, and Boston Celtics reporter Jay King (X:@ByJayKing) gave us the inside scoop on “Open Floor”. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Please make sure to hit that follow button on Spotify, comment and share the show if you like what you heard! Thanks in advance...peace.

Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! The NBA preseason is heating up — but one of the biggest stories isn’t about who’s playing, it’s about who isn’t. Russell Westbrook (IG:@russwest44) remains unsigned after turning down his player option with the Denver Nuggets, and some believe the league may have blackballed him. Even Carmelo Anthony (IG:@carmeloanthony) shared his thoughts on “7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony,” and I’ll break down why I think a future Hall of Famer is not on a roster. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers dropped a bomb: LeBron James (X:@KingJames) will miss 3–4 weeks with sciatica. I have a clip from “NBA Today” and their breakdown what sciatica is and Brian Windhorst (X:@WindhorstESPN) basically said my “golf theory” is wrong. That’s not it, I have a bonus clip from “The Craig Carton Show” hear what Craig Carton thinks this LeBron James injury could be and you don’t want to miss what he had to say. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Please make sure to hit that follow button on Spotify, comment and share the show if you like what you heard! Thanks in advance...peace.

Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! ESPN Senior NBA insider Shams Charania (X:@ShamsCharania) reported that the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks had trade talks this past August about superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo (IG:@giannis_an34). Giannis has made it clear: if he leaves Milwaukee, New York is at the top of his list. I’ve got the full clip from Shams on “NBA Today”, plus my full reaction to this Giannis news. But that’s not all — LeBron James (X:@KingJames) shook the league with what he called his “2nd Decision.” NBA fans went crazy wondering what it meant. The answer? A major surprise that involves Hennessy. I’ve got the audio and my take on this “2nd Decision”. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! Pelicans enthusiasts, get ready — things are looking brighter than ever! Zion Williamson (IG:@zionwilliamson) appears to be in the best shape of his NBA career, and that alone should have enthusiasts dreaming big. Now we all know Zion’s health is the make-or-break factor for New Orleans. If he stays fully healthy this season, could the Western Conference be shaken? I’ve got a hot clip from “Locked On Pelicans” discussing this “new-look Zion”. Plus, Anthony Davis (IG:@antdavis23) was asked about his fitness—and the answer he gave rubbed (Not Like That) Kendrick Perkins (X:@KendrickPerkins) the wrong way. What did AD say? What did Perkins say? I got a clip from “NBA Today” on what both said and I’ll give my reaction as well. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! The Golden State Warriors and Jonathan Kuminga (IG:@jonathan_kuminga) finally locked in a deal and it’s a two-year, $48.5 million contract with a team option for year two. This also means Kuminga waived his inherent no-trade clause, which could change how Golden State handles him in future moves. I’ve got a clip from “Locked On Warriors” breaking it all down. Meanwhile, LeBron James (X:@KingJames) was asked his thoughts on his son Bryce James (IG:@_justbryce) and do their timelines match up. Plus it’s been reported that LeBron is dealing with “glute nerve irritation.” I have a clip from “NBA Today” with Dave McMenamin (X:@mcten) discussing this injury. But how real is this injury if LeBron still found time to tour Kai Cenat’s $100 million mansion. Plus, I believe LBJ playing golf this summer could have something to do with that “glute” injury. I’ll give my reaction to all this LBJ stuff. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! The Golden State Warriors just made their first move of the offseason—signing veteran big man Al Horford (IG:@alhorford) to a multi-year deal. With Jonathan Kuminga’s (IG:@jonathan_kuminga) situation still hanging in the balance, the Warriors finally add a proven leader who can still defend many not like how he use to but he’s not a liability, Al brings experience, and adds depth to their roster. Plus I have a clip from “Locked On Warriors” discussing this addition. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers shocked the NBA world by locking in head coach JJ Redick (IG:@jjredick) with a contract extension already. Now the 2025-2026 season will only be JJ’s second season on the sidelines, so this tells me that the Lakers have faith in Redick’s coaching ability so far. My only question is how much does his success have to do with the coaching staff around him…I believe a lot more than ppl may think. I’ve got a clip from “Locked On Lakers” discussing this early contract extension plus my personal reaction. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer". Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! The Houston Rockets were set to make a huge run at the 2025-2026 NBA Championship after landing Kevin Durant (X:@KDTrey5), but things just got tough. Fred VanVleet (IG:@fredvanvleet) is likely out for the entire season after suffering a torn ACL, leaving Houston with major questions about their title chances. Meanwhile, the Miami Heat will also be shorthanded as Tyler Herro (IG:@nolimitherro) recovers from foot surgery that could sideline him until November if his recovery stays on track. What does this mean for both teams in the Eastern and Western Conference playoff picture? Plus, drama is brewing in Philadelphia as rumors swirl about the 76ers possibly trading Kelly Oubre Jr. (IG:@kellyoubrejr) and Oubre took social media to express if feelings. Welcome to "Shook-Ow… At The Buzzer" with me your host, E! NBA Commissioner Adam Silver set the internet buzzing after making a headline-grabbing statement during the annual Board of Governors meeting. Even though Silver later said his words were “taken out of context,” fans and analysts couldn’t stop talking. I have a clip from “No Dunks” of what Silver said plus their reaction. But that’s not all—there’s real tension brewing between Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young (IG:@traeyoung) and former NBA guard Patrick Beverley (IG@patbev21). It all started with Beverley’s reply to a fan question on X (formerly Twitter), and Trae didn’t hold back with his response. I’ll play both sides of the exchange, share Beverley’s exact comments, Young’s clapback, and give my full reaction. All that is next right here, on "Shook-Ow...At The Buzzer".
