This week I share an interview with an impressive young man who considers himself Catholic and Gay - in that order. I gave him a codename "J" in order to protect his identity and his parish. This conversation is real, raw and hopefully a reasonable approach to making peace despite the differences. Instead of arguing, I just asked questions, listened and tried not to be judgemental. It was an alternative to the the disruptive division that played out in politics and the media. Enjoy this conversation. I'll admit there will be some challenges, but hopefully it can be a helpful approach to our upcoming Thanksgiving Dinners with family members who have diverse backgrounds and opinions.
