Shootin’ Sh*t!

We are back after the 4th of July holiday! You get a full hour of straight shoot! This episode is what the show is all about, arguing and yelling at each other over sports, wrestling and life.

We start the episode talking about baseball. Joey K’s Phillies are undeniably the best in baseball right now, but there is still a second half of the season to go!

We dive into wrestling by cashing in on the storylines from MITB. Are you a Punk fan? Do you like the MITB match/concept? Did Sami have to win? Do you like the sorter PLE’s?

We breifly hit AEW and the lack of interest in it. Case in point All Out is in a smaller venue this year. We don’t spend much time here, but it is a good conversation on the trajectory AEW.

This spun into an MJF debate that got heated! It’s a must listen! Let us know.. do you agree is MJF undersized and wouldn’t do well in wwe or is he a generational talent and will flourish? During this moment we start talking different wrestlers marketability vs in ring ability.

We talk Cena’s farewell. This got crazy! Some of us thanked cena and one of us buried him. Do you think cena deserved the 16 championships? Should he win one on the way out? Who should he face? Will he be considered an all time great?

As we start to transition to the finish, One of the guys takes a moment to shoot on the Undertaker and Summer Slam.

We wrap up the show with a little UFC and Jake Paul! Of course we hit the disappointment that was UFC 303, but we get to the excitement of Platinum Mike Perry vs Jake Paul! Oh and on the way out someone may have taken “fake” shots at our second show, 5 star takes. Listen and let us know if you think it was fake!

We start off by offering our condolences to the Anoa’i family on the passing of Sika Anoa’i.

We transition into Bloodline 2.0! We start with Paul Heyman’s awesome acting, Solo taking over and where all this can be headed! We then hit on the Samoan Werewolf Jacob Fatu! We discuss that amazing debut! What this means for the bloodline and for Jacob’s future! We discuss possible additions to the Bloodline that can add to this amazing storyline!

After a few hot takes from Joey K we hit at that emotional promo by Taylor Rotunda and…. JEFF JARRETT! We talk on the difference between honoring Bray Wyatt and using Owen Heart’s legacy. This is a must listen to segment!

This leads into us talking breifly about the parallels of WCW and AEW, yes we are going to keep bringing it up, we think the ship is sinking and major help may not be enough!

We get back on the rails for a little bit and discuss a hodgepodge of sports! Everything from Cole Hamels and the Cubs, Phillies, Rangers (yes he played for all our teams!!).

During our wrap up and a little UFC talk, Da Hot One channels his inner Kendrick Lamar as he list why he’s the biggest hater of Alex Pereria. We end the show with lots of laughs and we ask you to please watch this weeks episode of 5 Star Takes, because DDJ called and made sure Sean mentioned it!

We are back! After a brief 2 week hiatus the boys of Shootin Shit are here to chew gum and talk shit and we are all outta gum!

It’s been a while since we were together so yes, we spend the first few minutes talking, joking, and just checking in with each other. Then the fun starts!

We get a rare pre-show topic about wresting fandom before we start really rolling this episode. We play audio from the fans at Clash and break down the emotions that they felt! This transitioned into a little CM Punk vs Drew talk and then……

We hit the ground hard with some prohibited portal talk! Joey K steals the segment with his Joe Hendry take which begs the question ….Do you believe in Joe Hendry? Also, will we see a NXT belt on a TNA wrestler?

After we talk up how much the WWE is helping TNA, we shift gears to the company that didn’t really help TNA, AEW. We talk about this big time fued with Swerve and Ospreay. It feels like AEW wants to put the belt on Ospreay. We will see if they follow through with the terrible booking decision. Talking about bad booking, this spun into a quick who killed WCW and AEW comparison. You know we have been vocal about the pitfalls in AEW, but the similarities to WCW stick out in the new show! Which begs the question how long does AEW have left!?

As we start to wrap up the show we of course had to hit the biggest faction debut in recent memory! The Wyatt 6, sicks, are here! We talk the amazing cinematography that went into the reveal, the nods to Bray, this feels intentional and it’s making us excited! Oh yea we also had to throw in a little whataburger chat!

We end the night on a very cryptic, but trending topic… Hawk Tua! Will we dive into Hawk Tua?! Who knows but if we do, we’ll spit on that thing!

This week you get a full hour of non stop Shootin action!! We start the show off with a special guest, a little gift and a thank you to our very own 5 Star Producing machine! Then, The Silver Wolf and Da Hot One hold down the fort as Joey K recovers from a premiere hangover!

We start with a little show called…. NXT! And that big surprise! Now that the prohibited portal is open, who do you want to see next in WWE from TNA? Which WWE start do you want to see in TNA!? This is what the forbidden door should’ve been like! Oh yea and another debut happened! All Ego is now NXT! Do you think Ethan Page will flourish in NXT? What is holding him back? Do you agree with the EC3 comparison?

We transition from fantasy booking and debuts, as we catch de ja vu and discuss Becky’s contract status again, but this times there’s a “little” difference! Do you think Becky is a WWE lifer? Does Chad Gable have any value outside of WWE? Do any of the AEW expired contracts do anything for you??

Next, our ass hole is missing, but AEW’s ass hole is back! MJF returns at DoN with a horrible tattoo! Will his return help a skinking ship? We breifly touch on the rest of the show and some of AEW’s recent pitfalls. Will AEW be around in 5 years??

This got us in a weird tanget where we discuss some UFC and Boxing! We breifly touch on Connor and Nick Diaz’s returns, but we will do more when Joey is back! Of course we hit the Gypsy King’s big L while sprinkling in a little iron Mike.

As we wind down we discuss the king and queen of the rings. Did you like both winners? Who needed it more? Who is a more believable king/queen? This spins into a Nia Jax hot take session and a little bit of booking talk as we transitioned into the Cody vs Logan Paul match.

Did you like the match? Did Logan come off too strong? Should Cody be using his “ultimate” finisher in every match?

We spin into another vortex of finishers not being protected and how the wrestling style has changed.

Last topic of the night is Da Bears on hard knocks! Will you watch? Are you a hater like Da Hot One? Are you optimistic like The Silver Wolf? Do you even care!!

In the cool down Sean brings up the latest A&E documentary and strongly ugres everyone to watch the episode on Eddy Guerrero.

This week you get a full hour of non stop Shootin action!! The Silver Wolf is back and we are in peak form!

We start with a little WWE rumors! The dirt sheets say that Big time Becks hasn’t resigned with the company and her contract is due soon! Is Becks on a farewell tour? Do you agree with the boys that she takes a few years off? What do you want to see Becky Lynch do!?

This transitioned into a quick shoot on the Tiffany Stratton incident. Once again to state our position, there’s no place for that type of language intentionally done or not.

We shift gears to a hot button issue! What do you think of a potential WrestleMania or Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia? Will it be the same? Will the lack of diversity in the crowd hurt the mystique of the shows? Is it all but an inevitable thing?? This took us into a side rant on WWE’s next mania in Las Vegas! Do you think they could make WrestleMania work in the Vegas Sphere? Can you see there being a WWE themed Casino?? Would you go? Ok I know you will! lol!

On the topic of residencies in cities for wresting, AEW is holding a mini residency in Arlington TX leading up to All In! Do you care? Is this good for wrestling? Will anyone go? Is this yet another blow to AEW??

Also, why is AEW continuing to bury their main champ? Where is Rocky Starks? Will there be a show for MJF to comeback too?? And again, do you care?

We shake off the AEW talk with some of the Paul brothers. Logan vs Cody is the next match up for Cody and Jake has the man they call Iron Mike! We talk about post mania expectations. Do you see Logan vs Cody ending clean? Does Cody need another belt? Are you giving Jake any chance over Tyson?

We took a strange detour into the many impressions of wresting fan, Will Sasso. Please go out of your way and look him up!

We wrap with a little NFL! Schedules have been released! The Bears fan is cautiously optimistic on their season. The Philly fan is interested to see how their moves are going to pan out. And the Dallas fan is ready for 8-8 and heartbreak!

Shooters we are down to 2 this week due to technical difficulties taking out the Silver Wolf! Sooooo you get another week of Premiere Heat!

We give you a full hour of hot takes and good ole fashioned “asshol-ery” this week!

We start by discussing the latest hot button topic in wrestling social media! That France crowd! Did the crowd add or distract you from the show? Do you think other towns will try to out do France? Is it their fault that they don’t get many WWE premium shows? And most importantly did you learn any of their chants and can you get them out of your head!?

We transition into the “surprising” info that Ric Flair had a legit heart attack during his last match! Does he want to die in the ring!? Did all them ladies really ride space mountain? Is space mountain still open? And why won’t they let Ric just be Ric!

This next topic was hard to discuss but we didn’t pull any punches. We clearly state that what transpired is unfortunate, but the most pressing issue is the toxicity of the wrestling fandom. The topic mentioned was the comments made to Skye Blue and how they didn’t come as a suprise and that is the saddest part of the story. It’s expected from these entitled, toxic “fans” do better guys.

We stay with AEW as we give our thoughts and prayers to the AEW Title and Swerve Strickland. How can a company bury the main guy this bad? Can Swerve be salvaged? Why does the main story have to take focus off the champ? Would you want to work in the current landscape that is AEW?

We transition from poor business decisions to possibly a great business decision, rumors are that the WWE is holding off on debuting Jacob Fatu so they don’t overshadow Solo Sikoa. How would you debut Fatu? Is there any stopping the massive star he is going to be? And who is the actual Tribal Chief??

We discuss Raw staying in USA until the Netflix deal, in transition to the end of the show. Of course this made perfect business sense. Are you ready for the WWE Netflix era?

We wrap with some UFC talk! We hit on the potential Bones vs Pereira mega match! Will the winner be seen as the GOAT? Which guy do you want to see win?

Our Philly connect Jawnski returns to shoot a little shit!

Shooters this is not a typical wrestling heavy show. This is as close to 4 guys just Shootin Shit as you can get.

We start with a little catch up session with Jawnski. We ask what’s he’s been up to and we get into his dirt bike!

Somehow we get into Philly sports, WRESTLEMANIA 40 and just general Phillyness lol.

We transitioned from there with a little UFC and boxing talk. Did you watch UFC 300? Will you watch UFC 301? Did you know about the boxing payouts? Do you still watch boxing?

As we kept along the crazy train we did take a moment for the NFL draft. We broke down our respective teams chances this upcoming season. This led to a disappointing conversation over the WWE Draft. Did you like the draft? Did it matter to non NXT wrestlers?

We wrap the night up by mentioning the Kenny Omega news. We dig into why Kenny was brought back sooner than he should’ve been and how it may already be too late for AEW.

Shooters we are at full strength today!!! Well sort of, one of the boys have computer issues due to a storm and is nicknamed R2D2!

We start the show with some AEW talk! Of course we have to talk about how dynamite ended. Was it too much? Do you care? Did TK have to wear the neck brace to the draft? Sadly that last segment overshadowed anything good AEW did during Dynasty over the weekend.

This leads to us discussing Dynasty and Swerve’s big win. We hit on how AEW has already done Swerve a disservice, how they should’ve handled the new champ, and is anyone noticing that all the “major” signings are being gifted midcard titles?

We try and hit some WWE Draft talk, but the boys refused! We did end up speaking on how this draft is different, how the Bloodline is evolving as a story and how the WWE product could be changing with the new TV and Netflix deals!

We start to wind down with a little NFL Draft talk! Yes our local Bears fan gets his moment, but Joey K starts with the birds big signing and AJ Brown’s major contract. The Silver Wold then talks about his optimism for the Bears, and that’s all cause R2D2 couldn’t get his opinion out!

We wrap with a little NBA playoff talk and somehow we get to Jimmy King being the best wrestler and Sal Bandini, wanna wrestle?

As we cool down we hit the craziness that is the WCW pay scale from ‘96-‘00. Some legends were robbed while others robbed from the company!

We wrap the show with degenerate sports talk! You get Da hot ones picks for the first round of the NBA playoffs, we hit on the awesome play-in games that already happened and of course we talk about whose team might take it all!

Shooters this week you get the dynamic duo that is “Premiere Heat!” That’s right… this is a special Mania reaction show from the two gentlemen who were there live in Philadelphia!

BUT First…. Why AEW? Why? Was it necessary to show the All In footage? Did this make CM Punk or AEW look bad? Did it do anything for the supposed storyline with the Young Bucks and FTR? Will we look back on this as the start of AEW’s epic fall?? Only time will tell!

Now for the main event! Joey K and Da Hot One take you behind a crazy 96 hour WRESTLEMANIA weekend!

We started at WWE World on Friday! We hit on the exhibits, Pat MacAfee, the tattoo area and the enterance simulator where Joey K did his best Razor Ramon impression! We did go scrounging for merch in the Mania Super Store and man was that an experience! We wrap up World with a crazy Uber experience, which would end up being the first of two Uber nightmares!

Now for Mania night 1! We give a few updates on the show itself. The pops and the differences between the live show and the aired show. The crowd was definitely louder in person and listen for our recap on who actually was cheered or booed on night one! While we did have fun, our Uber troubles would come back in spades! Listen to the story on how I thought we were going to end up in a Philly ditch!

Now beaten and tired we recap night 2. We talk about finishing the story, crowd pops, merch runs and Joey K calling that surprise Cash In! Joey hits on how Cody losing at mania 39 made mania 40 that more special and I couldn’t agree more! We talk nostalgia and how the ending to the story was great storytelling.

We started to run long so we breifly hit on Raw and the new era in the WWE! We talked the need to stop expecting big suprises and being greatful for what we have and the complex stories that are being told. Also couple that with great in ring action, and we cannot complain about a full weekend of great wrestling with even greater company!
