LOCAL HEROES SERIES: I often remark that youth are our future and most precious asset. Through Junior Achievement of South Florida (JASF), today's special guest, President and CEO Laurie Sallarulo leads the charge in overseeing a team of more than 40 people and manages a 60,000-square foot facility that serves about 55,000 K-12 students each year. When asked why JASF serves such an important role in our community, Laurie replied, "In the future, these young people will be your consumers, voters, entrepreneurs and much more." Dr. Baugh is currently the only female CEO to lead a National Urban League affiliate in Florida and has been serving at ULBC for almost 25 years.
