#Shoptalkpodcast Episode 94! - The Child Support Episode

This week J and Dame sit down and catch up on their week, they also discuss the recent bombings in Austin/Arlington Texas, the police killing an unarmed black man in his back yard in Sacramento California, and just the states of things lately.

We are also joined by a guest this week, a friend of the show, @Duame_M33 and we talk about a very debated issue. Child Support. Is the system fair, what goes into the determination of pay, Friend of Court etc. Dame and Weezy (@Duane_M33) share personal stories and we have a pretty good discussion.

Question: Do you think the child support card would be effective?

Welcome back to #shoptalkpodcast Episode 91!

This week J and Dame are back but they are at odds! (not really). This week is a follow up to conversation that took place at the end of last week’s episode. Dame stated (J disagreed) that Nas had a bunch of missteps his whole career. Dame mentioned Takeover as a Nas misstep (go figure) so J brung in Jay z for comparison. Dame said he could bring in 10 missteps in Nas’ career and J agreed to do the same for Jay Z. This week we had the battle of the Ls. Who do you think won this debate? Can you call it a debate if J.Johnson only debates his equals and everybody else he teaches? LMAO! Fun episode, tell me who you think won!

Sidenote: Sorry Jay-Z this was done for entertainment purposes only, I had to prove a point! lol! (j.johnson)

Welcome back #Shoptalkpodcast Episode 90!

This week we are joined by the good brother @call_me_tariq. Tariq was one of the first guest we had on the show back when we first started. We sit down and discuss Black Panther reactions from black folks and colonizers, J.Johnson shares his thoughts on how to address school shootings, and we go in depth on a post Tariq made on social media : "The worst thing in the world is for a woman to allow a man to put babies in her and then call her self independent". We really spend a lot of time unpacking that statement and its a conversation I think all should hear. Great dialog.

This week J and Dame are back to discuss Kendrick Lamar's amazing opening performance at the 2018 Grammy Awards. We also discuss comments surround Jay-Z being snubbed from the awards, Tom Brady long kissing his son in the mouth, and the Super Bowl.

Surprise Muthafucka!

Slid in with an extra episode this week because we love you. J & Dame had a chance to sit down with Wayne State Theatre & Dance to discuss the upcoming stage play "The Colored Museum" running the first 3 weekends in February starting Feb 2nd.

The Colored Museum is a play written by George C. Wolfe that premiered in 1986 , directed by L. Kenneth Richardson. In a series of 11 “exhibits” (sketches), the review explores and satires prominent themes and identities of African-American culture.

We discuss the controversial play and the problems they have encountered with the "community's" support or lack there of. Really informative episode and what better way to kick off Black History Month. Enjoy!
