EP 20 I lost 15KG in 10 weeks - Part II
This is part II of how I managed to lose 15KG in 10 Weeks. Weight loss isn't easy, it requires focus and sacrifice I'm sorry to say, but the rewards are there. I was heaviest at 108KG and dropped to my lightest at 88.5KG. Some of the things that worked, things I did, and how I felt during and as a result of the process.
For me, it was about being the best version of myself. Leaner, faster, and more competitive. I'm sure for everyone it is different, but this is my story, my journey. I hope my story provides some form of inspiration and hopefully motivation for those looking to lose weight in the new year.
As always you need to take your own health situation and conditions into account, and as many medical professionals will tell you, rapid weight loss can be unhealthy. This is my story and it worked for me. it is not intended to be advice or recommendations for you, merely inspiration to make positive changes in your life whatever they may be for the better, from any perspective. So please chat with your doctor or a relevant medical professional before undertaking material changes in your diet, nutrition, or exercise, and be responsible.

Some of the things that worked, things I did, and how I felt during and as a result of the process.
When is enough enough? When is it enough, enough motivation to change bad habits? Will you feel better? How did I get there? How do you keep going, and get momentum in the weight loss journey?
For me, it was about being the best version of myself. Leaner, faster, and more competitive. I'm sure for everyone it is different, but this is my story, my journey.

EP 18. How to complete an Ironman. I did and so can you!
From the book - From Zero to Ironman Triathlon
A 4 month inspirational and entertaining journey from zero to Ironman.
Author - Jem Bolt
I did an ironman triathlon from a standing start, and then wrote a book about it to not only help others but also inspire and entertain others. I had done a single short course sprint triathlon and took on an Ironman with 4 months of training. This is the story, the learnings, all the things nobody tells you, and the research and insights, to help motivate, inspire, entertain and help you believe "Anything is possible" in your life.
I entered while drinking beer on holiday. It seemed like a great idea at the time. But then the pressure was on. The race was in 4 months, most people train in 6. Motivating yourself, having a practical plan, getting buy-in from the family, and executing the plan are all key to success, but totally worth it. I did it. You can too.
226km in one day. Regain the form of your youth and fitness you never dreamed was possible.
About the Author
The author is Jem Bolt, also one of the hosts of these Short, Sharp, and Fit podcast series. He completed the Busselton ironman in Western Australia, traveled to Elba in Italy to compete in his second but was stopped due to a freak storm, and has completed numerous half ironman races since.

EP 17 Alcohol, Health, and the Holidays
Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year from the Old Bull Team
Preparing yourself for the holidays? Know your beverages. Lots of Christmas parties, dinners, drinks, and catch-ups not to mention Christmas dinner on Christmas day, and then New Year, and of course the whole of January to go.
Knowledge is power. Health.gov.au tells us what can happen as you consume more alcohol. Also, how many drinks are in a standard drink? How much consumption is responsible? How many standard drinks are there in a beer or a glass of wine? It's all here and important to know to help you if you are going to drink, and going to drink responsibly through the festive season.
Hear about research from the Lancet Journal, which said all alcohol is bad for you and then revised that later to say a little is OK. Find out why. Learn about the philosophical angle of why humans get drunk.
Always enjoy alcohol responsibly and if you are going to consume alcohol do so in moderation. If alcohol is a problem in your life please consider contacting one of the following services: ADIS, Drinkwise, or call ADIS on 1800 250 015.

EP 15 Body Types Women Want.
What do women want? Controversial? Absolutely!
Believe it or not, there is a preferred body shape or type women like, and men for that matter, and basically it depends. It may not be what you think it is, so don't throw out the dad bod just yet. Attractiveness is also linked to intent. Body image and sexiness can depend on where you are in life, and what you are looking for. There is a bit to understand and the good news is you can find it all here.

EP 14 New Year New ME. Fark Me,
December. Thought about your New Year's Resolutions yet? Thought so.
Who makes resolutions? Who cares? Who keeps them? Why should you care?
Well, you should. If you follow normal new year's resolutions trends, your life may depend on it. The question is how can you get better at setting and keeping goals in 2023? Maybe you are good already, maybe you aren't. Either way...
Drop the SMART goals and objectives. Start the FARK ME goals and objectives to get your sh1t together for the new year to quote Donny. You won't regret it. Fark me, can't believe I just said that.

EP 11 How is old? Your life may depend on it
Great question and not one we often think about other than to refer to "old " people. When you are 30, how old is old versus when you are 50? How does your perception of age affect your health? Are you a Baby Boomer, or Gen X? What does that even mean? This at times funny podcast takes you on a journey of age with Jem & Donny and will help you decide on hold you are. Well, sort of...
How old you are, in fact, depends on how old you are. Read that again. The older we are, the older we think old is. Perception varies by age, gender, ethnicity, and health. If you feel younger, according to research you are less likely to die. You are getting older as you read this, so rather get listening, and remember every day you will never be as young as you are again today. Make it count.
