Recently the Thai government amended the Child Protection Act pushed by the Education Ministry. These vague, at best amendments seem to make it a crime for female students to wear short skirts, something Thai universities are known for the world over. 

The reason that many sites have reported for the amendment is to help protect female students from sexual assault. Of course, it seems like a fair take to blame the female student's style instead of the actions of the one committing the sexual assault.
