It is human nature to resist change because we tend to overvalue what we have or have had in the past. And, we tend to undervalue what might become. In the story of Exodus, we see that the Israelites were constantly drawn back to what was, when God had a fresh blessing right around the corner.

As God’s people today, we can learn from this testimony to God’s character, and strive to pursue His ongoing plan and purpose in our lives.
