Disgraced former FBI agent Jack Finger may have been pushed from the federal ranks, but he hasn’t lost his taste for justice—or trouble. Tonight, his latest assignment takes him undercover into a smoky betting parlor, where a high-stakes boxing match is about to turn into something much more dangerous.
As fighter Tommy Malone steps into the ring, Jack begins to notice that something about the bout doesn’t quite add up. A suspicious referee, a crooked promoter, a mysterious cigarette girl, and an intrepid reporter all seem to have their own agendas. With money changing hands and the punches getting harder, Jack finds himself digging deeper into a scheme that reaches far beyond the boxing ring.
But when his investigation puts him directly in the path of the people behind the fix, Jack discovers that solving the case may require more than fists, courage, and a clever one-liner.
Can Jack Finger uncover the truth before he becomes the next victim of the fight?
