Despite a past privacy breach over facial recognition, Bunnings has appealed and maintains the technology can be used ethically. With a reported 50% rise in abusive incidents (70% by repeat offenders), Field supports their stance.

She notes that CCTV is already common in public spaces, and as long as customers are aware, she sees no issue with Bunnings implementing the technology.
