Adolescent, child and family psychologist Dr. Barbara Greenberg has raised a few eyebrows with her recent argument that schools should ban the term ‘best friends’. Dr. Greenberg believes that by encouraging or allowing children to judge and rank their friends, we are creating more opportunity for others to feel excluded or hurt. She talks with Dan about why she believes a change in language could make all the difference. Do you think it is normal for kids to have best friends?
