Should a teen be sexually active? The answer is not merely dependent on legality but more on the biology. Let me explain. Today I talk about the topic of whether there really is an age for indulging in sexual activity or not. A human goes through different stages in life and especially during puberty, the person is undergoing a lot of changes. The changes that ultimately prepare one for the adulthood. These changes in adolescence are often seen merely in a physical context, i.e. physical changes in the body, growth of height, changes in sexual organs and more. Now these changes are just seen as a sign that a teen is ready for sexual activity just as an adult is.  The only thing that keeps many to discuss about it is that a teen is still seen as a child but in their own mind, their sexual urges and changes in the body make the teens think otherwise. If they can, they indulge in sex or resort to masturbation. Even that sense of pleasure is seen and felt in a physical sense. BUT, it is not limited to that, there is more. Although our Vedic science acknowledged this eons ago, modern science has recently found out that these activities have a result on the  mind and its development as well. Ohio State University conducted a test on hamsters as they are physiologically similar to humans. Their findings were alarming, the teenage hamsters who indulged in sexual activity depicted signs of depression, anxiety and self seclusion.  Even though they had urges during the teens, their organs and mind were not fully ready for such activities. When they indulged, their mind responded to it and it made a neural imprint on the mind which made their immune system fire when nothing was present. Areas of brain were found to be active which are not found to be active unless one reaches adulthood.  Even their organ development was tampered and hampered due to this. Reproductive parts such as Seminal Vesicles and Vas Deferens were found to be of a smaller size in those hamsters which indulged in adolescent sex as opposed to those who did not.  The findings are alarming. BUT, our vedic science was well aware of this and had a system to tackle this issue. Because once tackled and resolved, it opens the door to correct reproductive health, immense life force and immense magnetism in the personality.
