Throughout the Bible are examples of what the Almighty expects from His people. Israel was a special people when they kept the covenant. Does the covenant our Savior set up in Hebrews have us pray and worship and celebrate Him in ways different from what was expected all throughout the Scriptures...? Idolatry, pagan practices and heathen customs are still to be avoided, don't you think? If we are not even supposed to eat the foods offered to idols than it what other stuff to avoid like statues and other idolatry items.
