There is a subtle form of legalism that some fall into when they are constantly asking, "Show me in the Bible where it says I can't do that." This question often misses the heart of the matter. Our focus should be on loving the Lord Jesus above all else. Rather than creating a list of do's and don'ts and asking, "Is this permissive or is it not?" One should strive to approve what is most excellent. You should ask, "In what I am about to do, is it to the glory of God?"
