He was joined by local historian LeRoy Cook, Bates County Farm Bureau member Kevin Fischer, Papinville Cemetery Association’s Phyllis Stewart, and Papinville Historical Society's Beverly Sullens.

Scott travelled all the way down to beautiful Vernon County, to the county seat of Nevada. There he met with County Commissioners Cindy Thompson, John Shorten and Joe Wilson, along with Will Tolterton of the Bushwhacker Museum
