Most of us want to make a difference, but life has a way of pulling us into survival mode. We get busy. We assume someone else will step in. We tell ourselves we'll help when we have more time, more energy, or fewer problems of our own.

Yet when we look back on our lives, it is often the people who simply showed up who made the biggest impact.
