A spring morning
Meng haoran
This spring morning in bed I’m lying,
Not to awake till birds are crying.
After one night of wind and showers,
How many are the fallen flowers!
This poem was written by Meng Haoran when he lived in seclusion in lumen mountain. It describes the beautiful imagination of spring breeze, spring rain, spring flowers and bird sound when he woke up in the spring morning, and expresses the mood of cherishing the spring scenery.
