Shut Your Face

It's been a while. Washington's season collapsed after a wave of COVID took over the team. They found themselves at 7-10 to end the season with the 11th pick in this year's draft. This week we discuss the prospects in trades, free agency and touch on the draft for Washington at QB. We follow that with our thoughts on the KC-BUF matchup and how good the QB play has been recently. We end the podcast this week talking through a few of the rumored finalists for the new name of the WFT.

All good things must come to an end and just like that the WFT’s win streak ends at 4. They lose the biggest game of the year in epic fashion. First a 24-0 embarrassment then a miraculous 27-20 comeback finish that they just could not complete to get the win. This week we talk about the game and turnaround to the now biggest game of the year against the Eagles in Philly.

6-6 was the magic number, and here we are! The WFT beat the Raiders with the same script that has led them to a 4 game win streak. It puts them at 6th in the NFC standings. Who would have thought we’d be here before the BYE. This week we discuss the game and look forward to the biggest game of the year at home against the rival Cowboys. Division and playoff implications are aplenty.

That’s two in a row. Ron Rivera and the Washington Football Team spoil Cam’s return home to Carolina. Taylor Heinicke had his best game of the year and showed that he’s not done yet. This week we discuss the now brighter outlook for the WFT in the 2021 season. We wrap up talking some NFC playoff picture and how that may end up looking.

No one saw that coming! The Washington Football Team put together their best game of the season…by far. Coming off a bye week, the WFT beat the Tampa Bay Bucs in an all around good game. This puts the team at 3-6 and somehow in the thick of things in the NFC. We discuss the prospects for the team going forward. They will be going forward without the Face of their Franchise in Chase Young, we discuss his future outlook as well.

Well even the “winnable” games are not winnable to this team. Offense never showed up and the team is getting riddled with injuries. The WFT is staring a losing season dead in the eye. This week we decide, is the season salvageable or not?

Dare I say this is the best the WFT has looked in a while. Washington takes another loss to a Super Bowl contender, this time it’s the Green Bay Packers. It’s clear they are not in the same class. But the offense looked solid even though it failed to capitalize on opportunities. This week we discuss the game and how maaaaybe, this team has a chance at the playoffs. We end the episode talking about the NBA Top 75 list and who were the biggest snubs.

We had a chance. Then Patrick Mahomes woke up and it was over. The WFT drops to 2-4 and no signs of things looking any better. Is it time to put Ron Rivera on the hot seat? This week we finally dive in to our NBA 2021 preview. Just scratching the surface for now but the NBA season is upon us and we welcome it by talking a little NBA landscape and the Wizards outlook.

This week we discuss the disappointing loss to the beatable New Orleans Saints. The defense allows 33 points and Taylor Heinicke did not have a good game. It’s the same old story for the WFT. We end by talking about whether or not the Dallas Cowboys are NFC contenders.
