Today we are talking about the lean, mean directorial debut of English filmmaker Danny Boyle! This darkly funny thriller was so much fun and I encourage folks to check it out! with an easy breesy 93 min run time, its the perfect lil flick to get cozy on the couch and have a good time with! Let's jump into it friends!

A series I've always wanted to do, was a Criterion Collection series! Here is the first episode! Its a little convo about Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1976 movie, Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom. I heard tell that this was a "super fucked up, grotesque and disturbing masterpiece". Did it hold up? Grab your fluffy robe, get a warm drink and relax as we discuss that exact question!

today's episode is about the horror puzzle game "Life Eater". you play as a stalker, kidnapper and eventual murderer who is listening to the whims of a sadistic eldritch god named "zimforth". I think this is a really fun, interesting game that I would just like more folks to know about! Grab your blanket, pillow, stuffy and game controller and lets dig into this cool lil horror game!

Today's episode is a dive into Fruit Chan and Li Pi Hua's film "Dumplings". It follows Mrs. Li and Auntie Mei through their weirdo relationship. Mrs. Li is in need of aid and the only person that can help her with her specific requests is Mei~ What is her request you ask? Well making dumplings with aborted fetuses of course~ Mrs. Li thinks she can regain her youthful vigor with these sweet delicacies and Mei will happily provide them~ for a fee of course~

Grab a blanket, warm drink, plush pal and get cozy on the couch~ Let's get spooky with this grotesque gourmand and her youth seeking patron! 🥟

This EP is a general discussion about Monika Kim's debut novel "The Eyes are the Best Part". It's a short and sweet lil meal that I think just about anyone can enjoy! This book sparked lots of interesting thought experiments and I'm so so interested in what folks have to say! If you've read the book, please let me know what your thoughts are! But if not, you can still enjoy this EP! Get your blanket, a warm drink, a lil cat (if you're lucky!) and lets get spooky!

Today I'm covering Coralie Fargeat's sophomore film, 2024 "The Substance". It's a sleek little body horror film that I think everyone should go out and support! Coralie's voice in film cannot be understated! She's such a strong filmmaker~ I cannot wait to see what else she has to say! I'll be waiting for whatever she's got cooking~
