Happy Fathers' Day! Fathers and families are important to God. God is our Heavenly Father and He wishes to see our earthly Fathers turn their hearts towards God and also their families. Fathers and children have to turn their hearts towards each other like how we as children of God turn our hearts to our Heavenly Father. Fathers and children need to forgive and stop holding on to the wrong they had for each other and surrender it to God. Fathers and children alike needs to pray for each other so power may be released in their homes. God wants to restore fathers and their families.

Understanding the Day of The Lord, having the role of an earthly father in your family today, you are called to the position of being a Fighter, Watcher and Builder of the Wall for your family. With the analogy of being a whole umbrella and now a 'hole umbrella' for your family, this is a calling for all fathers. Would you take your position to bend your knees to Jesus and ask Him to be your Lord and the True Father you need in your life and your family?

How do we find hope in death? There is hope in Christ, for He has redeemed us. He is the Living God and He guarantees our eternal destiny. Death is not the end of our story. We will rise again. But until then, we should build our spiritual resources by nurturing our prayer life, take a leap of faith, renew someone's faith as God renews yours and encourage one another.

As followers of Christ, we are not afraid of death because there is always joy and hope in Christian death but why do we have joy and hope? How about Jesus’s second coming? God’s will for you is to be Holy, to be set apart in Holiness. In order to make sure we stay Holy, we ought to avoid sexual immorality, control our own body in Holiness and honour and not wrong or take advantage of our brothers and sisters. If we want to walk in purity, the first and greatest key is to abandon our hearts in love to Christ. Holiness comes from God. Live and operate from the finished work of Jesus! Let’s commit our hearts to purity.

When Paul wrote the letter to the Thessalonians, he encouraged them and stated that he longed to see them again. When he could not stand it any longer, he sent Timothy there to strengthen their faith. Today, due to the pandemic, we are not meeting with one another physically but we have online meetings. Let’s continue to encourage one another in these trying times and know that God will clear the way, overflow us with His love and strengthen our hearts that we will be blameless to meet Him again.

How do you move on when life throw stones at you? First, get up and look back on the joy that you had in God. Remember the blessings you have in God. Ask God to restore the joy that you have in Him. Then, look up to God. You have a life worthy of His calling. Faithfulness in your small steps and don’t give up! God has a purpose for you. You have a story to finish. God is not done with you yet!

There are three (3) purposes of A Life Worthy of God. To be the messenger of His Gospel, Minister of His Grace and  Magnifier of His Glory. To love, value and appreciate God's people as affirmation is good for health and growth. To minister like a nursing mother and exemplary father. And to complete the purpose which God had called us to do - Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry and Mission.  Whose approval are we living for?
