Matthew 13:24-30 First century Jews lived in an agrarian culture, so it's no wonder that a lot of Jesus's teaching used the example of crops and farmers. In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus talks about how people respond to the gospel. In the Parable of the Tenants, He used the story of a vineyard to address the ways Israel had consistently worked against God.

In Matthew 13, Jesus tells another farm-related story. Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

To really grasp this parable, it's helpful to understand that Jesus is describing the kingdom of God. Jesus is sowing gospel seeds throughout the world and raising up Christians. But at the same time, the enemy is in the world spreading counterfeit seed. In its immature state, it isn't always simple to discern the differences between those that belong to the kingdom and those who do not.

The servants want to help the farmer by uprooting the imposters, but they lack the sensitivity of the angelic harvesters. It's not the job of the servants to make judgments about what is and isn't actual wheat. Their job is to serve the farmer as He spreads the legitimate seed.

It seems that the main point of the parable is that unlike the disciples' expectation, the kingdom of God wouldn't be a restored Israel. It would be a border-less kingdom where the citizens might not immediately appear much different than those in the kingdom of man. Any attempt to separate the two could do damage to God's kingdom.

The servants should assist Jesus in planting seeds and ensuring that they grow to maturity. At the end of the age, it's the job of the harvester to judge who is or isn't a member of God's kingdom.

Keluaran 25: 23-30 & Keluaran 30: 1-10 Setelah jatuh ke dalam dosa, manusia pun hidup terasing dari Tuhan. Sejak saat itu, manusia berjalan dalam kegelapan. Sekalipun demikian, Allah tidak meninggalkan dan tidak membiarkan manusia berjalan menuju kebinasaan. Ia dengan penuh kasih memberikan terang bagi umat-Nya. Ia tetap menjadi pemelihara seluruh umat pilihan-Nya. Allah memerintahkan Musa untuk membuat meja roti sajian dan kandil. Musa harus membuatnya sesuai dengan rancangan Tuhan.

Allah menyatakan diri-Nya kepada manusia dengan penuh cinta kasih. Anugerah-Nya memelihara dan menyelamatkan kembali orang- orang yang dikasihi-Nya. Apakah signifikasi corak meja roti sajian dan kandil ini? Semuanya ini terdapat dalam bacaan firman kita hari ini. Semoga Tuhan berbicara kepada kita melalui firman-Nya hari ini dan semoga nama-Nya yang mulia dipuji.

Exodus 25: 23-30 & Exodus 30: 1-10 Now we can truly experience a glimpse of what lies ahead. In Christ, we are safe, we are secure, and we are heard. Our prayers can ascend to our heavenly Father and He really hears them. The table of the show-bread gives us an Old Testament look into this truth. So let’s jump right into it and see what the Lord has in store for us to see.

God loves prayer. God loves the prayers of His people. The altar of incense is a reminder of how important prayer is to God. it is significant that live coals were taken from the altar of burnt offering and carried to the altar of incense. So, what is the significance?

It’s all to be found in His superior word. And so let’s turn to that precious word once again and… May God speak to us through His word today and may His glorious name ever be praised.

Keluaran 39:32-43; 40:34 Bacaan minggu ini adalah bahagian penutup dari bagaimana umat Israel menyelesaikan pekerjaan pembangunan Kemah Pertemuan. Inti dari bagian ini memberi tahu kita, bahwa umat Israel menyelesaikan pekerjaan pembangunan kemah pertemuan dengan amat sangat baik. Di ayat 32 mencatat: “Demikianlah diselesaikan segala pekerjaan melengkapi Kemah Suci, yakni Kemah Pertemuan itu. Orang Israel telah melakukannya tepat seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa, demikianlah mereka melakukannya”. Dan di bahagian terakhir ketika Musa melihat segala pekerjaan itu, kembali ia menegaskan bahwa “Mereka telah melakukannya seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN, lalu Musa memberkati mereka.

Dalam  kehidupan mereka di padang gurun, dari mana mereka mempunyai bahan yang begitu banyak untuk membangun kemah pertemuan? Bagaimana mengatur orang-orang untuk  melakukan pekerjaan itu? Walaupun demikian Firman Tuhan mencatat: “Demikianlah diselesaikan segala pekerjaan melengkapi Kemah Suci, yakni Kemah Pertemuan itu. Orang Israel telah melakukannya tepat seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa, demikianlah mereka melakukannya" (39:32). Mengapa mereka mampu menyelesaikannya? Karena umat Israel telah mengalami perubahan hidup yang sangat besar.

Exodus 39:32 - 43; 40:34 That completed the work of The Dwelling, the Tent of Meeting. The People of Israel did what GOD had commanded Moses. They did it all. 

They presented The Dwelling to Moses, the Tent and all its furnishings: fastening hooks frames crossbars posts bases tenting of tanned ram skins tenting of dolphin skins veil of the screen Chest of The Testimony with its poles and Atonement-Cover Table with its utensils and the Bread of the Presence Lamp-stand of pure gold and its lamps all fitted out and all its utensils and the oil for the light Gold Altar anointing oil fragrant incense screen for the entrance to the Tent Bronze Altar with its bronze grate its poles and all its utensils Washbasin and its base hangings for the Courtyard its posts and bases screen for the gate of the Courtyard its cords and its pegs utensils for ministry in The Dwelling, the Tent of Meeting woven vestments for ministering in the Sanctuary sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and his sons when serving as priests The Israelite completed all the work, just as GOD had commanded. 

Moses saw that they had done all the work and done it exactly as GOD had commanded. Moses blessed them. Keluaran 2:23 Ada ribuan dalih untuk menolak panggilan Tuhan dalam pelayanan. Namun, cukup satu alasan agar kita bersedia menerimanya. Apa itu? Allah hanya meminta kita mendengarkan yang paling ingin Ia lakukan melalui diri kita. Allah tidak pernah salah dalam menentukan waktu dan memilih orang untuk melayani-Nya. Pertanyaannya, "Apakah kita mahu menjawab panggilan-Nya."

Pr Sam dan isterinya, Susie sama-sama menamatkan pengajian di Christ For The Nation (CFNI), Bible College, Dallas, Texas. Pr Sam juga lulus dari Seminari Teologi Baptis Malaysia dengan M.A. dalam Pastoral Studies. Beliau juga memiliki Ijazah Sarjana Muda Teologi dari Christian Bible College, Amerika Syarikat; Sarjana Muda Sains, Southwestern University, Texas dan Diploma Lanjutan dalam Kementerian Belia dari CFNI, Dallas Texas di Amerika Syarikat.  Dia telah melayani sepenuh masa sejak Februari 1987. Dia telah berkhidmat di Gereja Baptist Garden Reservoir sebagai Pemuda, BM dan Pastor Ibadah selama beberapa tahun. Pr. Sam dan Susie mempunyai dua orang anak, Jeremy Sean dan Ashley May.

Exodus 2:23 Many years later the king of Egypt died. The Israelite groaned under their slavery and cried out. Their cries for relief from their hard labor ascended to God. God listened to their groaning. God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw what was going on with Israel. God understood.

Sam and his wife, Susie both graduated from Christ For The Nation (CFNI), Bible College, Dallas, Texas. Pr Sam also graduated from the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary with M.A. in Pastoral Studies. He also holds a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Bible College, USA; Bachelor of Science, Southwestern University, Texas and Advanced Diploma in Youth Ministry from CFNI, Dallas Texas in the United States. Exodus 25:10-22 We continue our study of the tabernacle by looking at the ark of the covenant. The most common name for this piece of furniture is "ark of God" (1 Samuel 3:3). Other names that the Bible gives to this piece of furniture are "ark of the covenant of the LORD" (Deuteronomy 10:8)

In our Scripture reading God revealed to Moses the pattern, the form, the blueprint for the ark. Remember, worship is so important to God that He leaves nothing to the imagination and ingenuity of man.
