Heidi Verrett is a 34 year old substitute teacher in Louisiana, and she plead guilty to having sex with underaged boys in order to avoid jail time. She will only have to pay a fine and she gets to live her life free of consequences even though she broke the law.
If this was a male who had sex with female students, this would be a completely different outcome.
Is this rape culture?
