Tomorrow, the US Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in one of the biggest cases this term: Trump v. Barbara, which deals with Trump’s attempts to eliminate birthright citizenship pursuant to the 14th Amendment. The CEO of LULAC, Juan Proaño, joins Katie Phang for a discussion about the case, its client “Barbara,” who is the named plaintiff, and Trump’s relentless attacks on immigrants.

California AG Rob Bonta says fighting back is working, and he has been fighting against the Trump Administration in areas where the federal government has walked away from its responsibilities. In the latest of absurd abuses of the judicial system, a prospective class action lawsuit against the federal government has been filed in a Florida federal court by January 6th insurrectionists for injuries sustained on that day. The lawsuit claims that officers with the Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police “indiscriminately” shot pepper spray and other chemical munitions and that they were assaulted and injured. Katie Phang breaks down this ridiculous lawsuit and discusses how this is facilitated by Trump and his lawlessness.
