We made sure Slidebean passed this test before we started building. Long before Slidebean existed, Trevor Owens co-founded a company called Lean Startup Machine- looking to help startups get started- with Youtube videos and stuff.
My co-founders and I actually printed one to de-risk Slidebean back when we were brainstorming ideas for our business. We actually printed one out, full size, and put it in our office, post its and everything. We’ve been recommending it to our customers for years.
It’s pretty cool to meet someone who unknowingly has had such an impact on your own business. Trevor has now moved on to other projects, and so I wanted to get his blessing on this.
This is the Lean Validation 2.0, Slidebean’s own version of the original board, with some tweaks and changes based on what we’ve learned so far.
