It also explains why Phantom Lady was kicking and convulsing like crazy when Miss Victory was "pulling out the arrow." Really, taking the arrow out was super easy--barely an inconvenience. If you go back you can see that it's not even barbed.
I didn't do that great a job drawing Phantom Lady's hand position here. Her right elbow should probably have been in front of the gun. Also, she is saying OW because as I was putting my arms behind my back and trying to figure out how to shoot from that position, I think it would be really hard to not get hit by the slide in the ribs or elbow.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I tried and tried to have Grok animate this panel, but the content moderation guidelines refuse to allow me to have someone get shot in the head.... even if the bullets "deflect off her super strong stone skull." So I found another free Image to Video AI site with much looser restrictions. It is free, but they use a credit system to spend on your videos, so I can't just make a dozen attempts and use the one that works best. Or is funniest. So the video bit at the end is courtesy of a site called A2E. I'll probably use that one the next time the panel has nudity, so I'd best start saving up some daily credits.
Oh, also the default A2E video doesn't generate its own audio, so I just extended my own homemade audio track to the end.

Boom! Strategy unlocked!
This explains a lot of things. Although, I think I'll let the production crew in their chat explain in character some of those things. They are pretty much the alternative narrator or thought bubble for this comic.
Also, I added on a second piece of animation to the time lapse video because I thought it was just so funny. So in Grok Imagine, when I upload a piece of artwork, it automatically begins converting it into a video. So before I had a chance to give it any kind of prompt, like "both women have arms bound behind back, woman in front does some blind Karate kicks, woman in back tries to turn invisible but fails"--Grok will first do whatever it feels like doing with that image. And, well, that last 6 seconds is what it came up with. I thought it was a pretty epic ending.

Huntress figured it out! Wait, figured what out?
It looks like the heroines had some kind of scheme cooked up. But what is it?
There has to be a misdirect here somewhere...

I drew this at the request of Forky over on the Moon Discord. Basically to address the complaints of people using multiple accounts and bots in order to cheat/not cheat the system to win in the Moon Universe space battle game. And how he has the ability to do the same thing but chooses not to. But he COULD.
So scribbled this page out this morning:
I actually love how it turned out. Better than some of my comic panels that I spend much more time on. I think there is a zen lesson about art here... something about letting go of your expectations and allowing thoughts to emerge directly form the hand onto the paper (or Surface screen in my case).
Also, for quite a while here on Hive I've been posting my comics along with a 30s timelapse video that I generate in Clip Studio Paint. Not sure why. Maybe as a proof of human step in my drawing. But over the last month as a bonus add-on, I've been using Grok Imagine to animate the final drawing in a 6-second video. Sometimes the videos are goofy, especially when involving superhero combats. But this is one of the best ones yet. Perfect ending.
Enjoy.

Bad snakes! You are very bad snakes!
Okay, it looks like that Medusa problem has been taken care of. But seriously, how does someone not notice that they lost their eyes? I mean, sure she is kind of ditzy but still.
It looks like Mary Marvel is about to enter the fight.

Asptha and Sheena are fighting each other physically while still trying to mentally control the snakes on Medusa's scalp. Between Medusa and Granite Lady grabbing the snakes and pulling them physically away from Medusa's eyes, that leaves only.... 15% of a head of snakes! Not nearly enough to block a two-eyed gorgon petrification attack! It's physics!
Some heroine better do something quick to get Mary into this fight. Or some villainess to make sure she stays out of it. This could be a game-changer in the next couple of panels....
Stay tuned!

The more people that show up in frame the longer it takes to draw. I like how this one turned out, the manga speed lines in the background really add to the general crashiness of the giant snake.
The animation sequence is kind of bizarre. Not as bizarre as the ones I skipped over. There was some weird Alice in Wonderland stuff going on with head-switching and snake dancing.
I am relaxing in Rosarito, Mexico right now. A lot of people warned me not to go to Mexico because they watch too much news. But the place I am staying is a beach condo resort, with not much occupancy, so it's almost like having my own private beach. Life is good. I'll share a photo of Rio the Shorkie next time.

Maybe I should stop trying to draw heads at that upward angle. There's a digital artist on Youtube who's tutorials I watch and he says even professional artists find this daunting. The upward angle three quarters view is like the Final Boss Fight of drawing head portraits.
Oh well, couldn't be helped. Iron Maiden grabbed her by the hair. I had no control over her actions, it's reality TV, baby!
With no powers, Iron Maiden could easily crush Moon Girl's skull in about 1 second, so let's see how she gets out of this mess.

Watch the animation sequence at the end of the time-lapse drawing. Grok basically did the Crocodile Dundee line... "Nah, that's not a broken nose..." Krak krak krak! "Now there's a broken nose." It is brutal.
Moon Girl may have the upper hand against Huntress, but when the heroines are outnumbered, she doesn't have time to tie her up in a 1 on 1 fight. Some villainess probably needs to help Huntress out... let's see
Who haven't we seen in a while?

There are times when it is appropriate to make light of women losing their clothes. When one is being burned alive is probably not the best time...... DAVE!
Fantomah with a big sacrifice play going into the final inning.
I had draw to some undergarments on Fantomah just so that I could run the image through Grok Imagine. Which is definitely non-canon because I think we all know that Fantomah never wears any underwear. Well, actually I guess I don't expect you all to know that. Spectre definitely knows it. So does Long John Silver.
So now the question for next panel is: "Who haven't we seen in a while?" Although, we probably need to check in on the status of Medusa's snakes, because that's what this entire delay tactic is about.
