When talking about the greatest College Football teams ever, 2001 Miami and 2019 LSU are a few that come to mind. 1995 Nebraska is also in that conversation, and might be the most dominant of them all. 

An unstoppable run game and a stifling run defense helped the Cornhuskers repeat as National Champions.

 The word "dynasty" get's thrown around a lot, especially after Georgia won back-to-back National Championships and looks to three-peat this upcoming season. 

But outside of Alabama since 2009, what other dynasties have we seen recently in College Football? 

The North Dakota State Bison in the past 12 seasons, have won 9 national championships at the Division 1 FCS Level. They've also had a 39 game win streak!

A two win season in 2020, a salary slash, staff overhaul, culture rehaul, philosophy shift and a renewed focus on Ohio State - shifted Michigan's trajectory from and underperforming program to back to back Big 10 Champs. 

When Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh to run their football program for the 2015 season, there were high expectations. 

Bring Michigan back the national picture.  Beat Ohio State, win the Big 10 and compete for National Championships 

After 5 seasons, the Wolverines hadn't done any of that. Harbaugh failed to beat Ohio State, failed to best Urban Meyer. In 2018 and 2019 (Harbaugh's 4th and 5th seasons), Michigan was blown off the field by the Buckeyes. 

The 2020 season was strange with COVID, and it didn't do Michigan any favors at first. They finished the year 2-4, but this could have saved Harbaugh's job and future with Michigan.

Some thoughts on the 2023 National Championship Game as TCU and Georgia battle it out. 

• TCU is a big underdog  - and winning will mean so much more in addition to being the champs 
• Georgia has a massive talent advantage over TCU. Two things can be true:

1. A lack of top-to-top, elite level 5 star talent hasn't stopped TCU from pushing it this far
2. TCU also haven't played a team with the level of talent of Georgia
