Goals update time: Jiujitsu is still humbling, the gym alarm is still rude, and Spartan Race prep is making us question all our life choices
We close out 2025, open up 2026, and pretend we’ve learned something. Join us as we talk goals, growth, and the “Stick to It List” holding us accountable whether we like it or not.
We’re closing out the year with laughs, lessons, and a little chaos. Join us as we look ahead to what’s next, spill our big plans, and reveal what made it onto our “Stick To It List” for 2026. Spoiler: ambition is high… consistency is the real challenge.
We check back in with Ashley after her 100-mile adventure to hear what was happening in her brain, how it actually unfolded, and why she didn’t quit (despite many excellent reasons). Bonus: I played a key role in her journey by moving the finish bell just far enough to make it extra character-building.
Steven joins us to dive into photography his beginnings, what makes a shot ‘picture perfect,’ and how AI is rewriting the rules. Naturally, we also zoom in on my mid-life crisis. And apologies for the background ruckus… Friendsgiving was absolutely happening around us.
Join us as we try to decode the mystery of kid attitudes—nature, nurture, or just pure chaos? We also chug LMNT mid-episode like a couple of dehydrated goblins and talk about my new diet that hopefully gets me across the Spartan 10k finish line. Huge shoutout to Sam Trevino from Cryptic Tattoo in Azusa, CA for the fresh ink vibes.

Today we discuss my deep dive into the wild world of running shoe shopping—shockingly, no one handed me a medal for surviving it. Plus, we explore the joy of leaving our comfort zones behind, and I outline my plan to drag myself through a 10k Spartan race. Optimism sold separately
In this episode: I commit to a Spartan 10K and confess my plan to collect medals like Pokémon even if it means outrunning children. No shame. All shine.
This week, we dive into my mid-life crisis — don’t worry, no sports cars were harmed , my tiny but mighty contribution to Ashley’s 100-mile race, and why I’ve decided a 10K Spartan race is the perfect way to prove I’m still young(ish). Expect laughs, mild delusion, and a sprinkle of inspiration.
This week, I dive into the emotional rollercoaster of trying to teach my 4-year-old daughter golf , which, spoiler alert, is less “Tiger Woods” and more “tiny tornado with a club.” Meanwhile, I’m mentally preparing for my 1-year-old son’s first haircut, a milestone that somehow feels like a barbershop breakup. We also get into my deep nostalgia for my own weekly haircuts (RIP, fresh fades) and the gender politics of wig-wearing because apparently it’s chic when women do it, but “a cry for help” when men try.
Tune in as I announce my bold new era: showing up to Friendsgiving in a full, luscious wig, acting like it’s been there all along. No one’s allowed to mention it , only admire it.
