Hola Hola! We are back for another episode of Conversaciones con Colegas: Season 3. This episode brings on another amazing Tik Tok superstar, Laura Vazquez also known as Sra. Vazquez on Tik Tok! Laura is currently a Dual immersion elementary teacher born in California.Despite coming to the US when she was 10, and growing up in a system that went against her, she has continued her education and now has a BA in Liberal Studies, Multiple subjects credential with bilingual authorization, and a Masters degree in TESOL.

Our hope and vision for our podcast is to elevate the voices and needs of educators and students, especially those voices which are often silenced or overlooked. Laura’s work aligns with LatinXChange because she is advocating dual immersion programs in her district. Dual immersion programs have been proven to be the most effective for all students, but especially for emergent bilingual students. By advocating and educating others, she is allowing others to better understand the benefits of the program to extend it further.
