Somen Salad Recipe
 
cooked somen noodles, chilled
top salad with kamaboko, green onions, scrambled/fried eggs, lettuce  (all toppings sliced up)
just before serving, pour dressing over top and toss
 
dressing:
3/4 c or 10 Tbsp sugar (can reduce amt if too sweet, adjust to taste)
1/2 c or 5 Tbsp cooking oil
2/3 c or 8 Tbsp japanese vinegar (su)
3/4 c or 10 Tbsp shoyu (soy sauce)
1/2 tsp salt
few drops sesame oil (to taste)

i got your package the other day but this is the first time ive been able to write. my unit had jus come off a long patrol then my friend grabbed me and said that i had a package from you guys! at the time i had completely forgotten and wasnt expecting anything. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! the lihing and mango was awesome. the lihing powder goes great on popcorn that the chaplain makes every sunday for service. ill sent a couple of the stickers to my brother back home. hes also a big fan of you. i told him that when i come back home well go see you guys play.
