In the Season 1 Finale, Lynne Earls joins Sierra to talk about Career Longevity! Lynne is a music producer, songwriter, and sound engineer. 1. In addition to owning her own label, custom music production shop and recording studio in Los Angeles, Lynne also produces and engineers regularly at studios across LA including Capitol, The Village, Henson, East West, Paramount, Glenwood Place & The Record Plant. Currently the Vice President of the LA Chapter Board of the Recording Academy, Lynne has served as co-chair on the Producer & Engineer Wing as well as a Governor on the La Chapter Board. She is an active mentor and on the creative board for She Is The Music, and an Ambassador for Imogen Heap’s Creative Passport community.

This week, Julianne Myers joins Sierra to talk about first jobs! Julianne is an A&R Coordinator at Columbia Records. The 23 year old USC grad turned her passion for music into her career. Julianne's goal had always been set in working in the music industry and she knew that moving to LA would be the first step to pursuing her dream. Within her first semester at USC, she landed her first internship at IAMSOUND, an independent record label and visual artist management firm. Throughout her three years at USC, she interned at companies like Live Nation, Ticketmaster, William Morris Agency, Columbia Records, RCA Records, among others. After graduating from USC early with a degree in Public Relations and Music Industry, she began her career in A&R at Columbia Records as an Administrative Assistant. One year later, Julianne works as a Coordinator in A&R at Columbia Records and is continuing to pursue a career in A&R.

This week, Emily joins Sierra to talk about transitioning from music to music business! Emily is an Arts Administrator at the San Diego Symphony. Awarded School of Music and Dance Alumnus to Watch in 2020 by San Diego State University, Emily Persinko supports the Southern California music community through various arts administrator roles for performing arts organizations, which have included the San Diego Symphony, Art of Elan, La Jolla Music Society, San Diego Youth Symphony, Ojai Music Festival, and San Diego State University School of Music and Dance. Emily currently leads the operation of the San Diego Symphony’s learning and community engagement programs, including the Berton Family Young People's Concerts, San Diego Symphony Family Concert series, Open Rehearsals, High School Ambassadors program, Dr. William and Evelyn Lamden Masterclass Program, the Community Ticketing Program, and the Symphony as Art & Business program. Emily is also Art of Elan’s marketing associate and serves as a director on the board for the San Diego Flute Guild.

Currently working at SOTA DTLA as a day to day manager & label coordinator, she previously worked for Nicethings Music, Live Nation Entertainment as well as managed her own roster of Philly based musicians. Before that, past internships included, The Recording Academy, Live Nation, This Fiction Management and Big Picture Media.

This week the Founder of VH Management Group, Tori Hamersky, joins Sierra to talk about Creating Your Own Opportunities! From South Philadelphia, Victoria Hamersky was able to use her passion for music to repeatedly beat the odds. Tori has been able to accomplish so much, all while juggling many chronic illnesses. With a deep love for the music industry, Tori used her knowledge to create her own artist management company at age 18 called VH Management Group. Through VH MGMT, Victoria's dream is to contribute to making the industry more inclusive for women, BIPOC, Non-Binary, LGBTQ+, and persons with disabilities.

This week, Cole McCarthy joins Sierra to talk about Unconventional Paths in the music industry! Cole is a Content Creator & Cinematographer at UMG. Cole studied cinematography at the UCLA School of Film and Television. At UCLA, Cole developed his own unique style of creating striking images with a knack for immersive camera movement. Today, Cole works as a Content Creator for UMG’s Digital Studios team, where he works alongside some of the label’s emerging artists.
