At first gliding calmly and slowly, it then suddenly came to a complete standstill, hovering motionless beneath the clouds in the partly overcast sky, before rapidly descending vertically by a considerable distance, only to rise vertically back to its previous altitude, whereupon it moved westwards as before and suddenly, as if by magic, simply dissolved and vanished.
