Armored Saint lead singer John Bush is no stranger to the show. He's been on to do discuss the release of albums like La Raza, and Carpe Diem. He's also done story tellers episodes based on his time in both Armored Saint, and his era of Anthrax. As well as lent his comments to our Classic Albums episode on Anthrax's Sound Of White Noise.

John joins us to discuss Armored Saint's upcoming release Punching The Sky. We discuss various tracks off of the album. The band not trying to revisit any of the previous hits. How he feels that the band's guitarists have always been underrated. Why release the album now, and not wait for the pandemic to clear up? The band's live stream on October 10th.

Of course we discuss Anthrax as well. Last time we spoke he brought up the possibility of going out and doing shows focusing on his era of the band. I ask him why that never came to fruition. I also ask him about possibly doing shows with the band to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sound Of White Noise.

He goes on to discuss how reconnecting with members of the band these past few years is a lot more important than thinking about anything else related to Anthrax.

Jake Davies is the lead singer guitarist of the band Of Limbo. He's from Melbourne, Australia and migrated to the U.S., Long Beach, California to be exact to make it in the music industry. His brother Luke is the other guitarist of the band. They both decided to take a chance in California, shortly after Luke attended the Berkeley School Of Music.

During the episode we discuss what jump started his interest in music. The differences between the rock scene in Melbourne and Long Beach/L.A. Working on EPs instead of full length albums. The video for the title track of the Nothing But Now EP. And the possibility of playing some shows during the pandemic.

Kristian Niemann is the guitarist of the Swedish band Sorcerer. If you've followed him over the years, you know that he's been a part of bands such as Therion, Demonoid, and Snowy Shaw Allstars. He joined Sorcerer in 2010, and could first be heard with them on their 2015 release In The Shadow Of the Inverted Cross. He has played on everything the band has released since then, 2016's Black EP, 2017's The Crowing Of The Fire King, and the soon to be released Lamenting Of The Innocent.

During the interview we discuss the new album. Why being known as more than just a doom metal band is important to them. If it was difficult for them self produce the album, and be objective with their own material. How the current pandemic is affecting the band's plans for 2020. And more!

The band formed back in 1988 in Stockholm Sweden. Although they released a pair of demos, and where featured on two compilations over the years, they didn't release a full length album until 2015's In The Shadow Of the Inverted Cross. The band was around from 1988 to 1992. They got back together again in 2010, and have been around since.

Lucas Kanopa is a Uruguayan guitarist and lead singer. He came on my radar a few years ago after being mentioned to me by Patrick Kennison of the band Heaven Below. Shortly there after, Erik Kluiber, brought his name up as well. Erik has been on the show more than anyone else. He mentioned at the time that he had just left Gypsyhawk, and was playing in several L.A. bands. One of them was Void Vator along Lucas. During the interview Lucas talks about meeting both Patrick and Erik. The differences between each band, and how his writing figures in to both. Why he decided to leave Heaven Below, and focus on Void Vator. Coming from Uruguay with Void Vator's drummer German Moura. What it was like to grow up a rock and metal fan in Uruguay. And a bunch more.

It took some doing, but I was finally able to get Zaher Zorgati from the Tunisian metal band Myrath on the show. This was a very cool conversation where we discuss (among other things) the band's history, their new album Shehili, their videos, their experience playing Sweden Rock and what it's like to be a band from Northern Africa playing metal.
