    Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation will host its 8th annual Costumes for Kids 5K Fun Run on Saturday, October 29th at the Prescott Courthouse Square. Everyone interested is urged to register before October 3rd to ensure they receive special race-day mementos. “This isn’t your ordinary 5K benefit race,” said Mona Stephens, Development Director at Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation. “It’s a Halloween party featuring costume contests, carnival-styled games, prizes, music by Magic 99.1, raffles, free food, and more!” The Costumes for Kids 5K Fun Run event begins at 9:00 AM and runs until 12:00 PM.     October 1st marked the end of Monsoon 2022, Prescott Valley and other areas of Northern Arizona saw a lot of rainfall! US National Weather Service-Flagstaff reported a few spots recorded their wettest Monsoon on record, including Blue Ridge, Sunset Crater, and Walnut Canyon. Quite a few others made the top 5!     At the Prescott Indian Art Market on September 17, Navajo master weaver Nanabah Aragon took the stage and stole everyone’s hearts as she presented one of her weavings as a gift to the Sharlot Hall Museum. Nanabah has participated in the Prescott Indian Art Market since its inception in 1998.     The Prescott Badgers' rushing attack continues to be one of the best in the 4A conference as the group had nearly 300 yards and scored all seven touchdowns on the ground in a 52-7 blowout win over the Greenway Demons in Phoenix on Friday night. Senior Cody Leopold rushed for 102 yards on 12 carries and scored four touchdowns. His 38 career touchdowns broke a school record that went back to the 80s.
