• Welcome back, Dear Travelers, to Part Two of a special bonus episode of Signed in Blood.

Two weeks ago, my best friend Chase (the man who inspired the character of Jason Argyle) took the interviewer’s chair and put me in the hot seat, asking your questions about Season One, the characters, the world of Signed in Blood, and the strange journey that brought it all to life.

Today, we turn the questions around.

In Part Two, Chase and I get a little closer to home as we talk about fatherhood: the joys and challenges of raising children, the things we inherit from our own parents, the mistakes we're afraid of repeating, and the hopes we have for the people our children will become.

• A message from the woods.

It’s been a month since the Season 1 finale, and I wanted to check in.

Season 2 is still coming October 31st, and I’m deep in the writing right now. In the meantime, I’ve been working on some bonus material to keep us company during the hiatus.

Next up is a conversation with my best friend, who was one of the inspirations for Jason Argyle. He’s a new father himself, with his second child on the way, and when two friends start talking about fatherhood… well, apparently there’s quite a lot to say.

I had hoped to have that conversation ready this week, but I’m taking one more week to make sure it gets the editing it deserves.

That conversation will be released Friday, August 28th.

Thank you for sticking with me during the hiatus. The response to the Season 1 finale has meant more to me than I can really put into words.

And believe me, I’ve been thinking about what happens next.
