In this episode, you will learn the following :


  • Emotions are energy; you must feel them in your body to release them.    
  • Self-validation is crucial for healing past wounds and triggers.    
  • Modeling emotional regulation is essential, especially for children.
  • Tools that you can use: 
  • 90-second feel: focus on the emotion in your body for 90 seconds.
  • Dance with duality: use a song to move through two opposite emotions.    
  • Shaking: start with your ankles and move up through your body.    
  • Jumping jacks while focusing on your breath.    
  • Flubber mouth: release tension in your jaw, throat, and neck.    
  • Voo breath: exhale with a "voo" sound to release anger.    
  • Box breathing: inhale, hold, exhale, and hold, each for a count of four.
  • Nature walk: walk without distractions to connect with nature.    
  • Use an ice cube: soothe your face with an ice cube to regulate.    
  • Gratitude: connect with the physical sensation of gratitude in your body.
  • AVP: acknowledge, validate, and permit your emotions.
