  • 104 SigTalks | Let's Talk About Faith

Walk by faith not by sight! These are words I hear in my sleep, these are the words my father, not only lived by, but what he tried to teach so many others to live by as well.

While we did not always agree on much, I have learned that this is one area where I can improve upon, BTW- there are MANY areas where I have room to improve upon, my father, Dr. Sigafoose, believed that it is the HOPE of a better life that can drive us towards being better chiropractors, husbands or wives, friends, siblings or just being a better person.

Let me know what you get out of this episode and share it, either at SigTalks.com or on our Facebook page. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

  • 103 SigTalks | Innate is SOURCE

Innate is SOURCE is the concept of understanding that we are two half of a whole. It is recognizing that we are a soul and matter and that as chiropractors we help reunite man the physical with man the spiritual.

Only by understanding that we are innate and that we have a body can we understand that one is nothing without the other. Innate, in all of its Universal wisdoms, holds all the knowledge of the Universe within it and our conscious mind only know what it can learn while we are alive. We must learn to trust the innate intelligence within us and stop trying to control it by thinking that we will ever know more than it does.

Enjoy this episode where Dr. James Sigafoose takes you on a journey to understand how we as humans must comprehend innate's role in the making of us and how we are not Carey or Patsy or Selina or Patrick, but we are INNATE.

  • 102 SigTalks | Now A Big Thing, A Big, Big Thing!
sto·ry ˈstôrē noun 1.an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment. 2.an account of past events in someone's life or in the evolution of something. If you are boring your patients with highly educated verbiage instead of just telling them what innate is and entertaining them with stories of what chiropractic has done for you and for you family, friends and patients, then you are going to loose them sooner than latter. Say it with love, say it with conviction, say it in a story and your patients will share it and refer 10 times more. Dr. Carey

  • 101 SigTalks | It's Not How Much You Get, It's How Much You Give

Love, compassion and giving to those who can't afford care is one way we can give more then we get. People like to refer, to those they know, like and trust. Dr. Sigafoose has always said that, "Life and the Universe will reward those that give without expecting anything in return."

How much more can you love a person - that is really the only thing that you should ever ask yourself. In doing this, you do not have to concern yourself with whether the market is up or down and that way your success is in your own hands. This allows you to look for ways you can increase value and remove yourself from the outcome, because people don't want to see a doctor that seems desperate.

  • 100 SigTalks | This Inner Power Speaks

THIS INNER POWER SPEAKS By B.J. Palmer

WE CHIROPRACTORS work with the subtle substance of the soul.

We release the prisoned impulse, the tiny rivulet of force that emanates from the mind and flows over the nerves to the cells and stirs them into life. We deal with the magic power that transforms common food into living, loving, thinking clay; that robes the earth with beauty, and hues and scents the flowers with the glory of the air.

With tireless energy it blows the bubble of each individual life and then silently, relentlessly dissolves the form, and absorbs the spirit into itself again.

And yet you ask, "Can Chiropractic cure appendicitis or the 'flu'?" Have you more faith in a knife or a spoonful of medicine than in the Innate power that animates the internal living world?

  • 099 SigTalks | To Tithe Or Not To Tithe

    Tithe

A tenth of the produce of the earth consecrated and set apart for special purposes. The dedication of a tenth to God was recognized as a duty before the time of Moses. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek ( Genesis 14:20 ; Hebrews 7:6 ); and Jacob vowed unto the Lord and said, "Of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee."

I on the other am more of at give back type of guy. Not to a church, but to my patients, friends, family and community. I do believe that when you give, you get back 10-100 fold.

How is it that you give back and keep yourself open to the abundance that the universe has in store for us all?

  • 098 SigTalks | Man Is A Contradictory, Ignorant Mass Of Exploding Transitory Theories.

There is a 4 min. interruption in this episode that I did not cut out for one simple reason, the information in that 4 min. is valuable and I wanted you all to know that it is there and I did not delete something that my father said.

In this episode I realized something HUGE! If you believe in God, but do not believe that our bodies were made perfectly, then you do no believe in Universal Intelligence or Innate. My father says that the words are interchangeable and it is a matter of semantics, but I believe it is a bridge for people to be able to better understand how our bodies and the universe work and how religion and science can function together.

Am I reaching a little to deep? I don't know, you tell me.

  • 096 SigTalks | Special Edition - Postural Neurology With Dr. Krista Burns

    Hey Docs,

Have you ever felt like you wanted to get better clinical results in practice, but that you were missing something?

You thought you would get all of the answers in school, but after graduating no one made the neurologic connections for you. So you keep attending continuing education courses to find the answer. You know the brain is important, but you don't know where to begin with Neurology, making it much easier to ignore it completely and continue doing the same old thing with your patients.

Have you ever had a patient ask you a question and you didn't know the answer? You have your normal patient flow, the things you do with all patients. When someone veers off that course and asks you a question, isn't it frustrating, or do you catch yourself giving the same generic response just to move past that question. I mean with all of your training how is it possible that you still don't know how the brain controls human function.

If you have ever felt like this don't worry you are not alone. Have a listen to Dr. Krista Burns and learn how Postural Neurology can help you grow your practice.

  • 095 SigTalks | A Reading From, "Answers"

    Answers

At the beginning, we anticipate this subject, as presented, will be taken at face value and understood by some, even many of our profession. Many, in our opinion, possess preconceived ideas which need reconstruction.

We record our knowledge, gained through research, of the fundamentals upon which Chiropractic rests as promulgated by our father but never clearly explained by him. By careful reading of his writings, gleanings of these ideas are apparent.
