Sikhs I do not know much about this, but that the khanda or “khala” is an Indian sword that has
a wide, single-edged blade with a disc-shaped pommel that tapers to a point. It is used as a
religious symbol of Sikhism, with the khanda representing secular and spiritual authority in this
context. A religious symbol of the Sikhs, however, is the Ik Onkar, also known as Ek Onkar,
which is basically intended to represent the central principle of the “oneness of God” and is
another symbol of Sikhism. It is the most important religious symbol of Sikhism. The Sikhi way
of life, and human beings who follow it, are naturally called Sikh, which means schoolman. This
is a human being who is willing to learn and who is “supposedly” guided exclusively by mental
wisdom, which also means that he is wise and, as a Sikhi, understands a lot about life. In
addition, a Sikhi, female or male, is supposed to recognise their own creative-energetic origin,
which enables them to lead a good life. The Sikh way of life is also called the Sikh religion.
Sikhism is a monotheistic religion which, as far as I know, was founded in northern India in the
15th century by a Guru Nanak. The followers, who, as mentioned, are called Sikhs, by and large
believe in a single, omnipotent and eternal God. They regard him as the source of all things.
