It lies in front of you. The canvas of your life. Paint solid colours or Mix a few. But don't leave it as it was Don't leave it blank.

We teach young girls it's not okay to be comfortable in their own skin.

We teach young boys it's not okay to not be comfortable in their own skin.

We teach them that though it's natural there isn't beauty in it.

We teach them that their only chance at life is hiding their bodies behind cloaks of beauty products.

We sell them the promises of a better shot at life and love.

One of these days

You'll have to learn

To make a choice.

And when it comes to that

Only one choice will matter.

You or them.

And I urge you to

Choose yourself.

Consent isn't about saying yes or no.

It's about the freedom of choice.

It's about choosing what you want for yourself at that exact moment.

So when the moment arrives,

Before justifying your action with "They were asking for it"

Just ask them for their consent.

I'm not like the usual ones you meet everyday. I have not grown up like you. I have fought and I have burnt myself in the fire everyday and so today who you see infront of you has risen from the ashes.

Familiar Bodies. Unfamiliar Faces.

What are your flaws?

The colour of your skin?

The texture of your hair?

The spots on your face?

The shape of your body?

In a room full of

Promises and tomorrows.

I look at you,

Embracing life as it comes
