What do we really need in life? What is the most important thing?

We need oxygen to breathe, but even more, we need the Lord of eternal might and wisdom.

How many people have been blinded and misguided by false promises of evil people who only have their own interests in mind? How can we know whom we can trust?

People have their own agendas. But the almighty creator God is above and beyond that.

May we walk in his good ways, then we do not fall into traps of evil people, and rather have a good life and can be a blessing to others as well. The Lord has a good long term plan for each and everyone individually.

What do you seek in life these days?

Many people look for joy, for wealth, for luxuries, for a good job.

Blessed is the person who is thirsty for a fulfilled life, who predominantly seeks the almighty, eternal creator God. The heavenly Father of mercy offers grace, true hope and confidence that lasts through pleasant and unpleasant times, even beyond this life.

If you had a wish – what would you wish for?

What are your prayers?

We can bring all our wishes and desires to the Lord in prayer.

Beyond that, we can learn for example from the Lord’s prayer and from the psalms, a far wider range of elements of prayer, such as to pray for others in intercession; to give thanks and praise to the Lord; to humbly turn to the Lord in repentance; to seek guidance from the Lord; and to seek his presence: “do not cast me away”.

What do you remember when you have a moment to think back?

Usually we remember the most impressive things that had stirred up emotions, both positive such as a great holiday as well as negative such as fear of punishment.

From what would you like to be protected? Evil people who attack? Persecution? Accidents and illnesses?

THE Good News is available for all people of all nations, all genders, all ages, all professions, all backgrounds. Everyone is invited to receive salvation by faith in the saving power and grace of the almighty, sovereign Lord of mercy.

“Those far off” – it sounds as if some are excluded. But that is not the case: not only a few selected persons, rather everyone of any background and origin is invited to participate in the kingdom of God, whether close or far away.

Do your eyes and ears work properly?

Give praise to the Lord if you are healthy, if the body is working well.

For what do you use your senses?

To consume darkness and dirty stuff?

Or to the honour of the holy, almighty Lord?

We are called to praise the eternal creator God and to help other people; to use our senses to listen to the word of the heavenly Father; that voice is often is more silent than other voices that shout in this world such as the hectic of work, advertisements, desires, consumption ideas, etc.

What do you strive for? What are the biggest desires and goals in your life?

It is healthy to regularly think about that.

If we are honest to ourselves, all too often short term earthly matters dominate our behaviour, for example we compare ourselves to others, rather than looking at what really counts in the end.

God told to Solomon: “Since you have not asked for yourself riches and rather asked for understanding to discern what is right, that is why I fulfil your wish”.

As Solomon asked for wisdom of what really counts, so God was pleased with his targets.
