Cash McLendon faces stone-cold enforcer Killer Boots in an Old West showdown, in New York Times best-selling author Jeff Guinn's riveting follow-up to Buffalo Trail.
Cash McLendon, reluctant hero of the epic Indian battle at Adobe Walls, has journeyed to Mountain View in the Arizona Territory with one goal: to convince Gabrielle Tirrito that he's a changed man and win her back from schoolteacher Joe Saint. As they're about to depart by stage for their new life in San Francisco, Gabrielle is kidnapped by enforcer Killer Boots, who is working on orders from crooked St. Louis businessman Rupert Douglass. Cash, once married to Douglass's troubled daughter, fled the city when she died of accidental overdose - and Douglass vowed he'd track Cash down and make him pay.
Now McLendon, accompanied by Joe Saint and Major Mulkins, hits the trail in pursuit of Gabrielle and Killer Boots, hoping to make a trade before it's too late.

Hooked On Books
I started out reading "Glorious" because a friend of mine was looking for a good Western and as the leader of a Book Club I was on the hunt for one for him. Well.....I was hooked. Never did I think it would be my kind of book. I could not wait to get my hands on "Buffalo Trail" to see what happened to Cash. Whew.....blood and scalping all over the place but certainly held my attention. Naturally I had to know if he found his true love so on to "Silver City" I would give "Glorious" 5 stars, "Buffalo Trail" 4 stars and "Silver City" 4 1/2 if I could. All three were really good reads if you can stomach the brutality. Lots of HURT but all in the name of LOVE. Thanks Jeff Guinn!
Excellent novel of the old west.
I thought this was easily the best of the three. Guinn does a great job of moving the story along with well developed characters. The language, tone and structure move the narrative along in an engaging manner. I hope this isn't the last one in this series.
The Western genre is alive and well!
Jeff Guinn has done it again! Silver City is a thrilling follow up to Glorious and Buffalo Trail that builds on the strengths of its predecessors. The Western genre is alive and well with this series...adventurous, but in a realistic context. Well done, Mr. Guinn; keep up the good work!
Thrilling romance set in the old west
I decided I wanted to move to Arizona, so to get in the mood, I started with Glorious which I truly enjoyed. Read Buffalo Trail which was solid but not excellent, and made it to Silver City. Silver City is superb. The plot is thrilling, with many twists and turns that hold oneâs interest. I couldnât put it down and sacrificed a lot of sleep on a couple work nights. Itâs that good. Start with Glorious and read all three. Iâm living in Arizona and waiting for the next Cash McLendon novel.
Great conclusion to trilogy western!
Had to follow story to see what happened and conclusion of villian versus good guy.
