He is Risen!
In this Resurrection Sunday sermon from 1 Thessalonians 3:6–13, Pastor Zachary C. Hill unpacks what it truly means to live in light of Jesus’ resurrection.
Timothy brings good news back to Paul: the young Thessalonian church is standing firm in faith and overflowing in love despite persecution. Paul overflows with thanksgiving and prays that their love would abound more and more, and that their hearts would be established blameless in holiness before God at the coming of our Lord Jesus.
This message shows that true resurrection living is not merely believing facts about the empty tomb—it is faith that fuels abounding love for God and others. Faith without love becomes cold knowledge; love without depth becomes shallow sentiment. The resurrection transforms us to love as Christ loved, even our enemies, and to share the Gospel through lives marked by this love.
