You may not remember this storybook-like 90s movie as being a battle cry against authoritarianism, but rewatched as an adult, the dynamics of tyranny are obvious. Matilda is a vivid example of the difference between authority and authoritarianism, and comedy as a weapon against tyranny.

An infamous horror movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a (relatively) tasteful mix of sensational terror and time-honored fears.
